I think Ali is the Greatest Heavyweight ever when it comes to archievements. But as a Boxer he isn't, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe and Mike Tyson and (i'm reluctant to say this) Vitali Klitschko better H2H than him. Ali fought Historically Great, but limited fighters.
Ali is most overrated athlete of all time in sports. His fights were big cause of controversy and publicity, not ability of opponents (Frazier and Foreman being exception) He received way too many decisions he did not deserve, and won tittle on a fix. He was openly allowed to cheat, and had easy opposition that was elevated in status by nut-hugging writers who loved Ali cause of his political stance, not his boxing. Frazier beat him, fair and square. In rematch, Ali held so much he should have had points taken away, and did not deserve decision. Louis, Tyson, Marciano, Dempsey, all beat him. Holyfield maybe. If prime Holmes and Ali fought, I'd pick Holmes. Frazier in prime vs prime Ali--Frazier, every time. How the **** is he greatest? The Cleveland (Half dead) Williams fight got people convinced?
I don't think Dempsey and Marciano beat him. Marciano because he's too small and Ali can probably survive for an UD (possibly with blood in his pee like the fight with Chuvalo) Dempsey because he's even more overrated than Ali, he also ducked the best men in the division. Also wasn't frazier already out of his prime when he fought Ali for the first time? I know/think he got some sort of leg injury earlier in his career... (Besides that he was legally blind in his left eye) He fought the last rounds in Ali-frazier 3 legally blind until his corner threw the towel (Even then Ali was on the verge of too)
Lennox could beat anyone, but you're talking the rubbish in this post. I'm almost lost for words.atsch
Muhammad Ali based on head to head matchups. He beat every style of fighter over two of the strongest decades of the heavyweight division.
