Who do you think is the most overrated boxer in last 20 years?

99% of US/UK fighter is overrated by media and fans.

Underrated ? Beterbiev for example.

It’s really hard to say because the truth is, all talented fighters are exalted by their fans. Especially on this forum. The most passionate sports fans are combat sports fans. I don’t believe any who made it to the top are overrated. They’re all special.

 

There are some posters here who legitimately believe Tyson Fury is the GOAT.

 

Khan is the most overrated. Dunno who the most underrated is.

 

Floyd Mayweather, I think highly of Floyd as a boxer and second greatest boxer of his generation but not in the goat conversation like people claim. Too many smoke and mirror asteriks next to his fights. And ultimately he was bad for boxing due to his undefeated blueprint.

Second one is Andre Ward. If he was European he wouldnt be thought as highly of.

 

Tyson Fury wins the overrated award.

 

Andre Ward is the most overrated and over-privileged.

He should have a decision loss in the first fight with Kovalev and at least two DQ losses (Kessler, Kovalev II) for his illegal tactics. And he lost in the Olympics, but was given a robbery decision. And he should have had to travel during the Super Six, everyone else had to. He was even given the privilege of skipping a round.

Many European and Asian boxers have been underrated - Beterbiev, Chris John, Calzaghe, Briedis, Ibragimov, etc.

Underrated - Bradley

 

I never really thought of DeGale as being rated that highly but I really agree that Bradley is underrated.

Tremendous fighter but his resume is shocking.
His best win is Donaire according to most people, Donaire who according to the same people has been out of prime for 8 years

 

A lot was made when he went over to States to beat Dirrell and becoming the first British Olympian to win a world title over there.

People had him to beat Plant and Benavidez after calling them out….then went and lost to Truax….before getting demolished by Eubank, come on.

The only win he has over a HOF fighter is a shot Rigo who he dragged up 3 weight classes from Rigo’s best weight

Has multiple losses to guys who probably won’t even be HOF fighters

Decent former champion but nowhere near half as good as his casual Joe Rogan-listening crybaby fangirls think he is
