Who now has the mental edge between the two men? Brock knows he cannot stand and try to outfight Carwin standing. Carwin, on the other hand, knows that he was literally a **** hair away from adding the UFC champ to his list of all first-round victims. As well as annexing the UFC heavyweight crown in the process.

Who also do you guys see Carwin fighting next? We know it won't be Brock and that is a shame imo. I paid for the first fight and I would gladly pay to watch a rematch in the fall. Cain deserves his shot but it seems like this fight did not conclusively determine who the better fighter is.

    Thoughts?

If first fight teached us anything, I would have to say Lesnar by second round submission

Open fight. I still think if Lesnar lands a big right on Carwin then he will feel the effects. Similarly Carwin showed he can hurt brock but needs to do more to close. I don't think Carwin showed off enough off his wrestling, nor did Brock.

It's still a titanic match up but Brock's endurance and approach was designed to stick it out. Carwin's endurance and approach was to shoot his load in the first.

Both can improve hugely off of their first fight.

I still favor carwin. I think he has the power to hurt lesnar but his gotta pick his shots. He also need to improve his stamina. I know he's used to finishing fight early but he needs to be prepared to fight a 5 rounds fight.

carwin wins....he handled brock easily first round, even when lesnar went for the take down...with better stamina and a less gung ho attitude, i think carwin stops lesnar...

Carwin knows what he needs to work on now. He'll win his next 2 fights by ko. Then he will fight Lesner again IMO.

Lesnar.. Carwin needs a lot more work than Brock.

I find it funny that he was gassed after the 1st round being the Colorado native that he is. Athletes come here to train at this altitude yet Carwin was spent after 4 minutes.. Aside from working on his conditioning he needs to be spending more time in Albuquerque with Mr. Jackson.

Carwin (as one dimensional as he is )would've won easy the first time with a solid cardio...But since it's not the case...and since Lesnar has more heart...

Lesnar > Carwin in a rematch.

Lesnar and without as much problem. THe guy was coming off a huge layoff and sickness and no doubt rusty. Get a 100% Lesnar vs. a guy he's already beat and the outcome is the same but not as rough. Lesnar takes him down within the first 30 seconds while not bothering to trade with him this time and ends it before the round is out.

it'll be longer more boring bout as they're tentative to go all out, around the late 2nd, early 3rd something happens, and the fight's over quickly.
