I'm a bit shocked by how much Bradley's stock seem to have fallen after the weekend. Sure it was a scrappy fight, but he still got by the #3 in the division fairly well. Now though a lot of people are saying Khan will easily win. Just wanted to gauge the overall feeling in the Brit forum at the moment, to see how people are really seeing it now. Please give reasons for your choices.
bradley by decision. i was impressed by him at the weekend, devon didn't seem to be wiiling to make any effort to make it a good fight. bradley dealt with almost everything in his stride.
i really like bradley (minus his money hungry ducking of devon). he is an all rounder who trains incredibly hard and is hungry. however against the best guy he has faced, he didn't show the technical savvy that i thought he would. devon wasn't as strong mentally as i thought he would be and bradley broke him despite devon having more than enough ability to win technically. the jab wasn't what it should be, the right hand was always looping, the consistent body work wasn't there despite his coaches imploring him... khan is bigger, faster, perhaps more powerful but also better strategically. devon just seemed to punch fast, scream and hold. khan seems to be more than that. it also seems that the tenacity of maidana may have prepared him well for a timothy bradley who is resigned to having to chase his foe. yes, the fight has made me think the gap between khan and bradley/alexander is much smaller than at first.
Thought Khan would get a decision over Bradley before the Alexander fight and I still do. I think Bradley is not as elusive as people think and I don't think Khan would have trouble finding him. Of course Bradley is too good to not get inside on occasions but I reckon Khan can get out of there or tie Bradley up without taking a great deal of damage, and in turn land the better work. Khan is a bit more accurate then he gets credit. This debate will rumble for months :hey
hmmm I actually think Khan has a great chance of getting the stoppage on Bradley. But it could go either way. I see two possible scenarios - 1> Bradley fights as open as he did against D Alexeander and walks into some upper cuts. Get's hit more often by Khan on the counter then he was by Alexander. Khan has th speed to hurt Bradley better then Alexander did in my opinion. 2> Bradley is more cautios for the first half and then up's the tempo in the championship rounds and maybe catched Khan and capitalises in a way Maidan failed.
I maintain what I thought before the fight: Khan outpoints him. Great opportunity for him to unify, it would be a big mistake not to take this fight before the years out.
How deep can Khan dig , and can Bradley find the target ???? Two very big questions , we havent seen Bradley fight at his opponents pace yet , and undoubtidly Khan will be setting a pace Bradley will not enjoy , Bradley doesnt posess 1 punch KO power and he is not as precise in terms of accuracy and timing as say a Marquez !!!! Ive gotta be honest ive got Khan , i think it could be a re run of Khan Maidana , Khan setting a blistering pace from the off , putting rounds in the bank and Bradley coming on strong . That said , after 3 or 4 Khan did slow down against Maidana , and that time Maidana was only just finding his feet in the fight and wasnt doing a lot !!! , i think Bradley Alexander was a let down , but i see Bradley Khan being a superb all action fight !!! In fact **** knows , i dont have a clue who takes it ..........
