    :thumbsup

I think somewhere down the line these two will meet up and i think linares is the best prospect out there, because in his first step up he destroyed larios in a way i never seen him beating up.Lopez win against ponce was equally impressive, but i feel linares is the better of the two and i can't believe people dont talk about this fight.Give me your take on who u think will win and why.

Lopez is sticking with 122 for a while. Linares is fighting bums up at 130. Larios was already a shot fighter when Linares fought him. And who has Linares fought before/since that fight? I think Linares is overrated, and, hypothetically, if he moved down to 126 and Lopez moved up I'd say Lopez K.O's him.

I would favor the Ghost, Robert Guerrero over Linares.

he was fighting a shot fighter ,its not hard to look good when youre fighting someone who doesnt offer anything or is that to hard to understand .

No doubt Linares has skills. Whether or not he can implement them against someone who has an equal skillset or is not fazed by his power is another question.

Valero is a similar fighter, the Teiken gym is clearly protecting their fighters. Valero's crude slugging will be exposed as soon as he fights someone who can really punch back.

Linares will lose to Humberto Soto, mark my words. If I'm wrong, I will become a believer.

Or you just want someone else to see things the way you do.

Well, I actually think my points are valid, and I said it myself that if Linares gets some decent scalps at 130 I'll change my opinion.

There's a big difference between world class and elite. Linares is nothing special at all in my opinion. He excels at nothing aside from when he's able to unleash his combinations, mainly on the defenseless hacks he's been facing. When faced with real speed, power, or pressure I think he'll crumble.

wrong.i agree with what he said Linares hasnt proved nothing yet, untill now he only fought scrubs, what i want is for him to step up his competition and if he wins ill give him credit.

the Linares groupies dont care if he fights bums as long as hes winning and then they talk like hes the next coming of SRR when all he has is a shity record.

Good to see that there's some likeminded posters around.

I know this thread isn't really about him, but as they're stablemates and all.....if Valero fights Katsidis/Campbell/J.Diaz/Marquez/Pacman/Funeka/etc etc he will be exposed.

Hell, I'm not even sure if he can beat this Pitulua guy, even though I'm still struggling to find any footage of his fight with Santa Cruz. Would like to be certain of who Valero is facing. Judging by his record it should be a very exciting fight!

With Valero's track record I'd assume that try and get him a fight with Kobori (spelling) if he even still is the interim WBA champ.

im wouldnt be surprised if Valero loses to Pitalua(altough i dont know how good this Pitalua is)and i also think he would lose faitrly easy against Pac,JMM,Campbell etc.

the diference between him and Linares is that Valero seems like hes making an effort to step up his level of competition by wanting to leave his japanese promoters and sign with GBP he also cant fight in the states(only in Texas he can)while Linares can but he seems like hes happy fighting in Japan against nobodies and his groupies seem happy too.

as of now they both have shitty records and my guess is that they will expose when they fight anyone with a pulse.
