You are in EVERY THREAD that mentions Linares. Why? I'm just curious how you could hate someone so bad that's just beginning to fight high profile fights.

What did he do to you?

Linares would knock him out. Too big, too rangy, and too much pop

Linares is so overrated that it's pathetic. Lopez by 6th round TKO.

it is hard to predict this fight but I see Lopez as a very good prospect to exel and beat this guy

That signifies an opinion, rather than a statement as fact. As you move on up in the world you'll realize these things Jr., right about the time you realize Linares is a hype-job.:good

A hypejob with quick hands, very fluid combinations and very respectable power. An absolute joy to watch if you like technically proficient fighters with enough power to make it exciting.

Don't understand what you people don't like about him except that a hater's gotta hate, I guess...

I hate it when people say just because a fighter has shown quick hands and decent power against nobodies that it will translate against a 'live' opponent.

Khan had all of these attributes. Splattered.

Linares seems to have decent punch resistance so I doubt the same will happen to him. But if he'd fought Luevano at 126 I'd expect he would've lost a wide decision.

I'm not a hater of any fighter, never have been. I'm a hater of completely overzealous fans, especially when dealing with a fighter who's clearly limited like Linares. He's not particularly fast aside from when he gets off the space to unleash his combos, he's stiff (again, unless unleasing his combos, which would be much harder to get off for such a stiff fighter against a live opponent), he's very hittable, etc. Against the third rate hacks he's been fighting, these weaknesses aren't going to show, but against elite competition, you can rest assured they will.

A guy like Gamboa has weaknesses of his own, but his upside and potential are far greater than Linares, and I'd pick him to stop Linares if they ever met.

funny thing is I don't see any overzealous fans. I see fans who are intrigued by his obvious skills and want to see him take it to the next level, but I don't see any groupies. I DO see a lot of haters like you though, and I think it's pretty hilarious. What has he done to earn your deep, deep hatred? lol...

I met Pernell in Vegas btw, at Caesar's Palace, the lounge by the poker room. He was a little *****.
