Ortiz managed to out-jab Joe Brown, who operated out of the shell, to win the lightweight championship. Not completely out of the question that he might use that educated jab and fluid combination punching to earn a similar result against that version of FMJ. :think

I've not seen that fight. I'll need to watch that fight when I get the chance. Ortiz was very accurate. He grew on me after watching more of him a year or so ago.

Other HOF lightweights with great movement and jabs that would trouble Mayweather are Buchanan and Laguna. Laguna's long rangy jab could see him take Floyd on points. Buchanan in full flow was just beautiful to watch. He could fight too and was seriously teak tough. The history of the Lightweight division is stacked with amazing boxers/fighters that could beat Floyd.

I've only seen it once, besides from when I saw it live on TV. I didn't score it the first time and don't really remember much, just that it was a tough fight for Floyd that he barely pulled out, but when I watched it the second time I did have Floyd winning and seemed more clear, and I loath Floyd and was hoping i would see it the other way. Maybe I need to watch again lol but don't see a different outcome considering that.

His first fight at 135 ,left the ring unmark ,never hurt ,stood in front of Castillo ,and still won ,despite that Castillo did so many illegal things that night and was bigger in size that night.

    Interesting I had it 14-0 Castillo..

But seriously though, Floyd got the W and then proved he was better in the immediate rematch that no one ever mentions.. He deserved the W in both fights and that is what he got...

I though castillo won 114-112. Mayweather just couldnt keep castillo off him snd wasnt throwing the right hand enough.

You won't get accurate votes in the poll. You could make a poll asking "who won: Mayweather or Canelo", and there are people who'd vote for Canelo.

I don't remember how I got to it but I wound up with a 1 pt victory for Floyd

I don't pretend to be an expert judge or that my card is the end all. I had it by 1 for Floyd so I can understand a Castillo card

I really should rewatch this one

I do think Maidana either lost 7-5 or pulled even at 6-6. Id say these 2 were his hardest fights followed by Oscar then Cotto then probably Chavez and then I guess Augustus/Burton
