Floyd won the first 4-5 rounds and another 2-3 on top of that. Castillo did nothing for the first 4-5 rounds so on the 10 point must system Floyd wins. BUT Castillo won his rounds bigger than Floyd won his for the main part. Close fight but Floyd won
With the rounds I scored a draw i'd be more likely to give them to the champion "according to the way many believe the close rounds should be given to the champ" Personally if say this was there first fight ever meaning no title, nothing on the line i'd give the fight to Mayweather, I just dont think Mayweather done quite enough to take the title away from Castillo... pls note i'm a huge Mayweather fan, second favorite other than RJJ. I'm just trying to be as unbiased as possible. This fight could have gone either way, I definitly dont think it was robbery though as some say, this was one of the hardest fights i've scored..
You put that in quotations, as if to make it mean something other than what it does. It doesn't make any sense to say, "Well, the one guy kinda won the round, but not clearly, so rather than just even call it a square round with 10-10, I'll just completely reverse it and give it to the other guy." It's absurd. Give the round to the guy who won it, or make it even if it's too close to give it to someone.
As this thread shows, the fight was close and could've gone either way. It was a close fight and Floyd removed any doubts in the rematch.
By the way, it is stupid to give close rounds to the Champ. The two man have the same value inside the ring.
Yep, I scored it for Floyd, and there were obviously a lot of close rounds. It is understandable that some people saw it narrowly for Castillo, but it was far from being a robbery of any sort. Just a close fight.
just watched it again had it: floyd-r1-10 floyd-r2-10 floyd-r3-10 floyd-r4-10 floyd-r5-10 floyd-r6-10 castillo-r7-10 round 8 even castillo-r9-10 castillo-r10-10 floyd-r11-10 castillo-r12-10 floyd easily 116-112 or 115-111 the haters hate floyd hence the myth of castillo winning.
I agree with your scoring except the 11th. Castillo outlanded PBF by alot in that round. Castillo was 35 of 68, and PBF was 20 of 50.
Its a pity that Castillo was intimidated by Mayweather's speed and quickness early. Past the halfway point of the 5th, Castillo found that he could push and land to the body against Mayweather. It was in this round that Castillo even attempted to win round. He was fighting to cautiously intimidated by Mayweather speed...... ....by this time however, Castillo had dug himself to big a hole to dig himself out of. I gave the first 5 rounds to Mayweather, I dont remember which ones, but I gave him two other rounds past that point. Castillo won 5 out of the last 7 rounds and was really hurting Mayweather good to the body, but he just started to late. Mayweather the winner on my card, 7-5!
