Overall punch stats can be very misleading. Punch stats per round often give a slight better indication.
If say fighter A landed 60 punches in round 1 whilst fighter B landed 5, chances are fighter A (unless there was a KD or point off) won the round,
but if say in Round 2 and Round 3 fighter A only landed 10 punches in both those rounds and fighter B landed 30 punches in both those rounds and won those rounds say before the fight was stopped before an accidental head clash, the punch stats would favour fighter A massively by 80 to 65 yet fighter B won rounds 2 and 3.
    Get it :nut:huh:think:thumbsup:deal

I had it more or less like you 4-2 to Maidana after 6 rounds and then I gave one of the later rounds to him can't remember which on.

You can't base who won off of that! 9 more punches landed over 12 rounds. That's nothing. Plus who says that's even correct? One guy could have done really well a couple of rounds and out landed his opponent by a lot, what about the rest of the rounds? This is the pros. Maidana was much busier and landed almost the same amount.

So many people don't understand this. Add in that Floyd had the two most dominant rounds of the fight to skew the overall numbers.

Mayweather and it wasn't close at all really. It may have looked like Maidana was winning a lot of rounds but any objective observer can see that Floyd won the majority of them. The key here is EFFECTIVE aggression.

So landing nine more punches is clearly winning in the proffesional game?

pretty sure i had maidana sweeping the first 5, and then taking the 11th. had it a draw. fine with 7-5 either way but would be a bit more sceptical of a 7-5 maidana scorecard.

Maidana, Castillo, Cotto, all exposed him and showed he wins only by ducking the bests.

    He's just a cherrypicking hypejob.

Pacman and Bradley would embarrass him and his 40 punches at round.

Maidana simply walked through Floyd's shots, and he didn't even have a bruise. Broner looked way more powerful and hurting than Floyd.

Floyd looked way off. Stamina wasn't there.
