i dont know hw people saw maidana win.. maidana won maybe 5 of the first 6 rounds and then after that it was all mayweather
Floyd clearly won 8 rounds, Maidana's workrate gave the impression that he was doing more than he was. Some people are enamored with activity. That doesn't tell the whole story, I still need to go back and critique the fight, I was actually shocked with the punch numbers, I think Maidana was getting credited with some lands that he shouldn't have. There is no controversy in this fight. Floyd won with the terrain of the fight favoring Maidana
I had Floyd by a point but wouldn't have cared at all if it were a draw or chino close win. floyds toughest fight by far and at 37 to come through shows true all time greatness.. everyone talks abou the fab 4 (LMFAO) only duran was around at that age trying to compete for cash. he would lose badly to fighter chino would annihilate in a couple rounds
This was a very competitive affair, so that is a positive. Not to be expected when FMJ is in the ring. Giving Maidana less than 5 rounds is bad, bad scoring. 116-113 Maidana for me. Anything between 116-112 Maidana and 115-113 Mayweather is decent scoring, and basically comes down to what the particular judge values. Those two cards for Floyd were suspect from a scoring standpoint, but to be expected all things considered. If Marcos had worn the punchers gloves like he was supposed to, and had all right to wear, the body work and temple shots would probably had gotten him a stoppage win or at least dropped him. So the ***** move paid off for TMT in the end. And the Shostats were some made up garbage, just like in the Garcia-Herrera fight where Garcia "landed" 150 power shots:nut
Floyd didn't fight pac 4 years ago - thats all you need to know about BOTH pac and Floyd's claim to ATGreatness
The only two rounds Maidana clearly won were rounds 1 and 5 (I think). Anything else was either a clear Mayweather round, a close Mayweather round, or even. Mayweather fought consistently enough to usually at least have a slight edge by the end of the round.
Yeah I watched it again and Maidana won the first but I think Mayweather won the third but I'm no expert.
It's funny how people can watch Mayweather consistently hit opponents in the stomach and the body with a stabbing jab and straight rights, but then wonder why that opponent magically 'faded' later in the fight. Hilarious.
If you are implying it was damage rather than stamina related, you are a huge moron:yep So please don't. Floyd was the one getting tagged in this fight.
Yeah, you're right. Those body shots Mayweather keeps investing in and tattooing opponents with have no impact and are useless. These 'bums' just already have sh!tty stamina. All of them. Silly me. You, sir, are a genius.
Thanks ma'am, you really are sweet. Marcos looked like he had been for a nice easy jog post fight. Floyd was clearly hurt to the body early in the fight.
Yeah, because winners are determined by post fight photos. Like I said, pure genius. Guess you missed those stretches in the 2nd half of the fight when Mayweather started taking over and the 'hand of fire warrior' Maidana thought it best to get on his backfoot with his hands slightly lowered trying to protect against those body stabs. Nah, you were too busy daydreaming about a 'hurt' Floyd from 'early in the fight'. Only on ESB..... :verysad
