100% correct Whyte landed far more shots and watch Chisoras leg stiffen when he went over from a shot in the 12th round a knockdown that should of counted

Joshua and Chisora are good friends who both boxed out of Finchley.

AJ had Whyte winning the fight

Hard to see that angle where his legs were?...either way Whyte won that rnd...the only time he almost hit the floor is when he missed towards the end of the rnd.

No it wouldnt bc Liston fought Ali and knocked out patterson. :couch:

Of course in the real world whyte at 6'4 250 would be a very dangerous fight for the 205 pounder...yes liston was 205 around his prime. That doesnt matter though bc he lost to a 175 pounder early in his career while Whyte lasted 7 with A.Joshua who is no match for Patterson or that 175 pound guy. lol

Yes beating a 185 pound light punching, scared shitless Patterson really impressed a lot of people, and the fact he beat Williams who would be a beast today, threatening the current top 10. Lol

Liston is in the Marciano category which was a dominate champion in HIS era. Nothing more. With the exception liston would fare better vs other era HW's due to size and style.

You and James Smith need to give it a rest already. Liston was a physically massive guy.. 6'1 but compact and muscular, also had an 84' inch reach and huge lunch box fists. By your logic Povetkin and other smaller modern shouldn't be competitive with Whyte either. Cut this BS out and stop making a fool out of yourself.

Also. Patterson would probably be a good fighter today until a certain level. A badly faded CW Cunningham was able to contend at HW. He has NO power and doesn't have the great chin. He alone debunks all of this crap that you're spewing.

Liston was massive at 205 vs 175 pounders yes...Really Cleveland williams was the closest talent to his size ,when they both fought around 210....sorry if you think that is MASSIVE. lol

You see what you want to see, but you're just making a complete fool of yourself in this thread and should stop to save some semblance of credibility around here.

And he'd easily be around 240 with the same body fat as Whyte. Are you saying that he wasn't fat and sloppy enough to beat Whyte?(which really wouldn't surprise me given your history with immensely stupid statements)

Liston was a "smaller" HW sure. So are Tyson, Povetkin, Tua and Morrison. But he was an incredibly physically robust guy with a long reach, massive hands and gorilla like strength. Someone of that size can cause problems for 230-240 lb heavyweights, especially when they have skill and power.

Again.... With all this talk about size, weight and physical dimensions. How do you explain a faded Cunningham blowing up in weight to contend at HW? Even dropping a 6'9 Fury? Cunningham had no power even at CW. Kind of destroys your whole theory of smaller older fighters being hopeless against the fighters of today.
