You only say he wasn't motivated because he looked like crap. Maybe Fury was just better than AJ.

Wlad by stomping a mud hole in Fury's ass and walking it dry...letting his hands go and KTFO.

A pretty big fan of Wlad, and his brother. However, I lean toward Fury in a rematch if he had his mentality mostly right.
It's become too much the rage among many here to dump on or detract from Fury - in many cases for made up BS. Now if they were closer in age - even Wlad still senior - I think Wlad wins the rematch, probably the first fight too.

Vitali vs. Tyson would be interesting if they were closer in age.

Wlad would have been 40 in the rematch. You could see in the Joshua fight that his speed and timing was gone.

Wlad would have won the way Fury was, which is why they pulled him out.

If Fury was fit and focused, it's interesting. Wlad said he'd throw more but once he started getting countered by Fury, would he continue? Fury showed in the Wilder fights he can take some bombs and land plenty of shots in exchanges. Probably would have been a great fight if Wlad actually did throw more. Maybe they both get hurt. Fury has the youth and better engine in that situation and I would make him slight favourite to win a war of attrition. Wlad can end the fight quicker so that compensates for his bad engine. Back in those days, before Fury got decked by Wilder and kept getting up and brawling, people would just expect Wlad to finish him in a shootout. But clearly now it's not that simple with what we know.

If we assume that the Wlad that would've turned up, was the one hat fought AJ. I would lean towards Wlad.

Wlad said he'd "let his hands go" which he did vs AJ and he could KO'd.

If 2017 AJ can beat that Wlad then 2016 Fury could have.

If Fury showed up fully prepared, I'd go for a Fury UD all the same, but a closer fight this time.
