Rematches are pointless when the first fight wasn’t even close

Fury, with his movement and size, was a bad match-up for a declining Klitschko who couldn't pull the trigger as well as he used to or have the legs he once did. Another Fury decision in a relatively uneventful fight.

It could have gone either way in my opinion.

    All good points.

I think it's simpler, though - Fury knew he had to be perfect to stand any chance in #1...
He was, by his standards, about as error free as he possibly could've been - he couldn't have been better, and it was obvious that Wlad could, which meant it was obvious who'd win if Wlad was anywhere near right.

I still think Fury could have been the next big thing in boxing and dominated ... IF he had taken boxing as seriously as a Wlad or Usyk etc.

This one certainly aged well. At least you stick with your delusions.

nobody. especially the folks that end up paying for it. the second, neither would have thrown one punch. they come to the ring in miniskirts and dance to canned heat

    Maybe...

It's hard to tell whether that blase attitude helped as well as hindered him - sometimes caring too much and being too serious can lead to analysis paralysis and actually restrict performance.

Would that have been the case for Fury? We can't know, as such, but I do wonder.

I still don't think he'd have won that rematch, either way, and knew it.

TBF I think wlad would of won the rematch sometimes it takes losing a fight to figure someone out I think he'd of realised what he needed to do to win which is why I think he was so desperate for the rematch
