Dawson died as the lhw champion when he got beat up by Ward in a fight fought well within the 175lbs limit. as far as i'm concerned there is absolutely no case for Stevenson and not necessarily for Bhop/Kovalev winner either at this point.

A week before the big fight. Any changes of heart, or new insights?

It's all very well saying that Adonis is the lineal champion until he is beaten, but when he is clearly minded to avoiding the best boxers in his division, it's difficult to take that too seriously.

Stevenson would be the divisional champion but very few would consider him the best. Just like Cotto at MW

Well, I'm not in to this "he holds the lineal belt soo... He must be the #1 right" talk, Cotto clearly isn't 160 champ so that debunks that myth.

The most likely outcome for me is Kovalev TKO/DQ, if that was to happen then Stevenson is still the champ, boxing fans have a short memory, Stevenson KO'd Dawson in the first round, Dawson is arguably 2-0 against Hopkins if you count EVT wins, if he fought him in 2 months time it would still be Dawson UD12. Dawson would win 49 times out of 50, Hopkins could probably take a SD against a genuinely one handed Dawson, but that's it.

H2H I honestly don't know who id pick between Adonis and Kovalev, but Adonis undoubtably has the better resume even if Kovalev goes out and destroys a 49 year old Hopkins.

    Dawson >>> Hopkins

    Fonfara > Campillo

Bellew > Clev (wait till rematch :yep)

    Cloud > Sillakh

ASSUMING Stevenson fights Pascal and ASSUMING the winner of that fight, fights the winner of Kovalev-Hopkins, then the guy at the end would be the most definitive champion in boxing.

    Completely and utterly undisputed.

Well he doesn't fight Pascal, not even for a shitload of money and fights Sukotsky instead, but still he considers himself "King of 175" :!:

Stevenson is the "real" coward at LHW. No one ducks hard-hitting opponents better than he does.

The winner of Hopkins/Kovalev has a strong claim.
But until there is one man standing.

Nobody should be viewed as that.

Stevenson is now an Al Haymon-controlled puppet, and will never fight a live body again. He's a paper title holder.

The winner of BHop-Kovalev should be viewed as the champ and the best. Stevenson is ducking both Kovalev and Pascal. He deserves no respect from the fans. Anyone who pays to watch him fight is an idiot.
