Like Roach said, Khan is only half-way there, so you can't go out and face the biggest names in the division. Personally, I would like to see Khan face Devon Alexander - he looked pretty impressive against Junior Witter in his last fight. March 2010 would be the perfect time for the fight, preferably on the under-card of Mayweather v Pacquiao.
Maidana seems far too risky for too little reward, for an American debut. Khan will have hell trying to tame that beast...although I suppose he has good experience now via sparring Pac regularly. Still, risky as hell to fight a quick, highly powerful guy like that. The boxing fans would appreciate it, but the general public probably don't even know who Maidana is. Even Salita was more well-known, due to his Jewish following.
Nah, you seriously are. Seen it in the Lounge: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=190910
Firstly, he ain't my boy...secondly Maidana appears to be as fragile as Khan and as slow as Salita. If Khan landed the combo on Maidana that put Salita down for the first KD the result would be the same. As far as I am aware Khan hasn't been dropped by someone who makes Willie Limond look like a fistic monster
