Regardless of whether Khan is at 50% of what he allegedly is, he is a world champion and therefore must fight legitimate top 10 opponents.

Salita was a great peerformance and he diod what he had to do but lets be honest the guy was a British level fighter and borderline top 25-30 in the division.

Imo i would like to see Khan fight Maidana or Torres, see how he copes against aggressive punchers now he has improved.

My thing is why rush this kid? We already found out that he can be dropped but with the right style opponent, he's got a decent shot to shine again next year. A fight with Timmy, Lamont or even Holt is just not right for him, yet. Well scratch that, a fight with big ass Lamont better never happen. Let Lamont go to 47 then 54; that's one pure boxer this kid don't need to see..like ever lol.

I just think there's way too much pressure on this kid as a teenager saying he will be the youngest UK unified world champion of all time etc etc. Having Lennox and Eubank do interviews with him at 19 yrs old was a train wreck waiting to happen. Right, he got spanked by Breidis but learned the best hard knox lesson you can learn. Away from Frank W and in the Wild Card setting with a salty decision win vs. Kotelnik under his belt. Future's very, very bright for Amir - no doubt.

Bradley would be a good solid test, I doubt he will fight him though.

Who did "Timmy" fight in his 21st, 22nd adn 24th fight?

I think Bradley had only ever fought one top 50 rated opponent before he faced Witter.

I've always stuck up for Khan and criticisms about him being rushed, but personally I'm not going to feel satisfied with years upon years of WBA (the new WBO part 2) type stuff.

It has always been my opinion that the best fighters should fight the best, I am not a fighters accountant.

Kotelnik was a decent start... but...

Having said all that, it's still early days though, so we shall see, personally I don't feel the need to criticise Khan and his choice of opponents too harshly right now.

:D:lol: It would be an explosive fight...styles make fights and this would be a epic. Agreed Tim is a bit ahead right now...as a champion and boxer. Khan's just developing the right tactics and finding his feet at championship level.

Khan need to stay the hell away from Bradley.

I'll bet that they'll go for Paulie next. No danger from his punches, Khan can be as aggressive as his wants and he just needs to get a decision.

I still reckon Paulie beats him. Khan has always had a huge speed advantage over his opponents but against Paulie that wont be the case. Paulie by points or mid to late KO

Nah. Paulie seems to find it tough to keep focused for the whole fight against a decent opponent.

He might do well for a couple of rounds but I think he'll start to get caught a bit and then Khan will wear him down.

Khan will definitely win a decision, especially in the UK because people will cheer for everything.

    Yes.

I like Bradley I think he's turning into a decent fighter, but just because you are ranked number 1 in a division doesn't turn you into a superman.

Pac is still the champion at Jr Welter by the way, and his defeat of Hatton has opened up the division by default.

As I said, Bradley is looking like a decent world level operator, but lets not turn him into an ATG/HOF.

At the moment he would be a decent solid test, I would expect real top quality fighters to be able to deal with him though.

I think Bradley would probably beat Khan right now, by the way.

Khan is very young, didn't really get his title shot by working his way up through the ranks, didn't win it off a top champion, has weaknesses and Light Welterweight is wise open at the moment with lots of young champions.

To me with those factors taken into account I think he should grow into being a champion, I have no problem with him taking on guys that are around 10-25 at Light Welter at the moment. Once he has had three successful defense's he can go into those major dangerous fights which would also be more rewarding (financially and legacy wise) because the other champs would have become bigger names too I also feel Juan Urango and Devon Alexander need to prove they are good champions that warrant unification fights.

Well according to Roach, they fear no one, so people perhaps can't be blamed for pulling names out the hat.

It would certainly benefit him to take a few learning fights but if he isnt prepared to face the best then he has no place holding a world title. You cant hold a belt that suggests you're a champion then claim not to be ready for tough fights.
