Assume Dubious beats Parker and secures a Usyk rematch in the summer Assume Joyce beats Whyte If Parker pulls an upset on Dubious it messes with both Fury & Usyk who don't have time on their hands. I suspect he'll wait to see Dubious Usyk II result....but would it be a trilogy if Dubious can pull it off? Parker is no pushover maybe geting ahead of ourselves.
I want him to stay retired. I'm sick of the circus, at this point, and there's no way he fights anyone good without a solid year of BS/mindgames to buy him time to actually get fit again. Actually no, **** it, let him fight Jake ****ing Paul, just to finish off his career in the manner most fitting to him - a joke that could've been many things, but ultimately wasn't nearly what he's been claimed to be
Jake Paul good shout Finish what Tommy started Beat the man only a Fury can beat. Even the late great Mike Tyson couldn't handle him.
I hope he stays retired so he doesn't slow down the division again, there will be good fights and nobody should miss him...
Himself for not admitting Usyk won both fights. People in the buffet line who tell him not to take entire serving trays back to his table for one.
If he were actually to fight someone this year, with no games or any BS - then it would defo be AJ for me. Wouldn't mind seeing Fury fight Zhang if he beat Kabayel - would be a fun fight.
Out of interest. Would you back Fury against Zhang? I'd back Fury myself but Zhang is very dangerous and can prove to be terrible stylistically for some.
It all depends what state of fitness Fury can get into... And whether Zhang punches quite as hard as he appears to. Fury does make mistakes and he does get hit - but there's two big ifs for Zhang to win: firstly Fury has to make his mistakes before Zhang gasses, so that's about 5 rounds, and secondly Zhang needs to be able to knock Fury out. If it goes to the cards, Zhang would lose WIDE - his stamina is so poor that he needs the KO to win (as evidenced by a very close points loss to Hrgovic who is himself poor at scoring well enough to be able to win on the cards), even a couple of KD's might not be enough... And yes, he clearly hits hard, but he needs to knock Fury out cold to win - Fury's recovery is likely still crazy enough to pull him through otherwise. It all depends what shape Fury turned up in... And of course, at Zhang's age it's entirely possible he becomes old overnight.
If he sucker headbutts a young smaller member of an opposing team prior to a Tommy Fury event .... that counts as a fight, right? If so. That's my vote.
Agree thoroughly with your assessment - Zhang's limitations in his stamina, footwork, agility/reactions, and his age are an issue. Can't really be assed for Fury anymore but I wouldn't mind seeing him fight AJ (or possibly Zhang) then just call it a day.
Fury has had a great career, won his championships and made his millions. Happy for him to stay retired.
Dubois IMO should have been an option in the poll if Parker is. Then again - can't be assed for Fury but Fury V Dubois is a cracker of a fight.
Usually I'd say AJ, but AJ needs a confidence boost before he's ready imo. Let Fury fight Zhang, and AJ fight Joyce before they settle their score.
