Who do you want Kessler to fight now?

I´m watching the fight right now. Couldn´t get it live as I was away on holiday with my fiance. I must say that Sartison is quite a lot better than I expected. He sure is much better than Lockett. Have you seen the fight?

 

irony is that kessler could have fought miranda. so it's his own fault that he doesn't have so many options because his team 'wanted a belt'.

Hard to get a good judge on Lockett from what little I saw of him. Let's put it this way. Some people give Kessler a full grade above Kelly Pavlik. I wouldn't give Sariston a full grade over Lockett.

 

I definately would. Sartison looked pretty good and was actually ducking and counterpunching. Can you imagine Lockett throwing a counterpunch?

Lets just say that I'll be interested in seeing what Sartison does next. Lockett not so much.

 

Well, first of all they would be right to some extent. The reasons are two-fold:

1. Lockett is a much cruder fighter than Sartison.

2. Pavlik is a KO-fighter much more so than Kessler. As such, Pavlik regularly lose rounds to less than stellar opposition while Kessler usually wins every single minute of every fight except against when being abroad against real top-opposition. So Pavlik relies far more on his KO to win him fights and as such it most be expected that Kelly can get a limited fighter like Lockett out of there before time. Anyone that knows Kessler's style on the other hand knows that Kessler may not KO his opponent, but he doesn't have to. He will just punch the living crap out of him for 12 rounds, but may never throw the mercy punch.

 

If there's no other choice . . . then he should just make a "keep busy" fight.

Andrade and Mundine are already in his resume so why not fight other highly rated fighter like Jurgen Bhramer (rated #2 by WBO) or much better if it's a unification against Bute.

 

Well it's not like he has a choice. lol

He has to fight Haussler or he will be stripped of the title he just won.

Like you said. The big guns are busy so he may as well get the Haussler fight out of the way now.

 

From one I heard Taylor might fight Lacy in November.

 

Huh? He is going to be stripped? Fight Haussler then . . . no problem At least he can take care of the mandatory while the other big names are busy.
