This content is protected For me , I want Andre Ward to be the next Major mainstream Superstar. He can handle mainstream media in a professional manner, has great boxing skills, and has a great back story that mainstream media loves to use/exploit. Also, his confidence in his skills do not come out as cocky or pushy and is very well spoken What are your choices?
No. Ward is like a premature-Floyd, in my opinion. I, pretty obviously, want Khan to be the next superstar just so he can say that he got to the top and proved ALL his critics wrong. Apart from Khan, I'd say Martinez, but he's getting older and I don't think he'll be in the game too long but different people age differently. Others are Gamboa and Lopez. I like both of them. Also, Nathan Cleverley, even though he's got a long way to go.
Someone like Pacquiao: someone who started fighting to feed his family, someone who has never had an amateur fight in his life.
Andre Ward is a good candidate very well spoken and positive role model for young practicioners of the sport.
Same. If Ward markets himself well he could be that too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manny_Pacquiao#Amateur_boxing_career
