Who do you want to see AJ fight next?

The fight in April is going to be a nothing fight, 2nd fight in 2019 is the interesting one for me.

Povetkin probably the most entertaining option, but doubt they will go anywhere near it.

 

Out of the lot I’d probably go for Whyte just for the build up and because we’ve seen a far worse, injured version of Whyte hurt Joshua previously.

The Sky/IFL/social media build up will be nauseating though.

 

I think deleting social media for 12 weeks would be the only possible thing

genuinely have no real interest in seeing any of those fights, god HW is awful right now. Probably Ortiz out of all those names

 

I think he beats Pulev comfortably now but he's still a credible option in my eyes. Certainly more so than Miller. I've seen him batter Whyte and he'll do it again, which is why I don't have much interest in seeing that one. He beat Pov clean, although struggled at times (which is fine as Povetkin is still good, just not for 12). So, Pulev for me.

 

I’d be up for Pulev v Joshua if it was in Bulgaria but I think Joshua would have him out comfortably at Wembley. Hughie hurt him badly in the eighth round, Joshua with his handspeed would do the same and most likely finish quickly.

Whyte at least has been displaying some good bodywork lately which is key to slowing down Joshua.

I personally won’t consider Ortiz as an option here because Hearn will never entertain it. Too dangerous after all the ridiculing he and others have done over his age and health.

 

I voted Whyte / Chisora but my vote is only towards Chisora.

As this would mean he's beaten Whyte, which would be hilarious and that he then got the AJ fight, even funnier and then, please let this happen, he can beat AJ and Del boy becomes unified champion of the world.

So Pulev or Ortiz. When AJ beats them, there is literally nobody left for him.

 

Yeah, I don't think Pulev can work at a high tempo for too long, so I think AJ wins easily enough. He won't just stand there throwing one shot like Hughie; Hughie fought at Pulev's pace.

True enough but I just don't see him as a threat to AJ. He's just too easy to hit. My dislike for him is clear so I don't want him getting the payday but at the same time I wouldn't mind seeing him iced again.

Oh absolutely, Ortiz is a risk. He was considered a risk by most people on here until he was signed to fight Wilder when he somehow aged 30 years. Which is odd considering him and Pov are the same age.

 

I dont know why they are waiting till April for his next fight. Surely if you want 3 fights next year early March would be a better time to start. I think it will be whyte next but we won't get an announcement till the new year.

 

April is when Wembley is booked. Clearly the temperature is likely to be warmer in April than March and it is less likely to rain.
