Trout has earned it in the ring, but I'll be honest. Canelo/Trout doesn't get me super excited to spring $60 unless the undercard is stacked. I like Trout, and would buy the card, but that matchup lacks sizzle.

Bogart makes some good points about Kirkland and Angulo. An old fashioned tear up would be great for a PPV holiday weekend. Not as quality of an opponent, but will provide a large quantity of entertainment.

No Doubt Trout! Im tired of seeing Canelo fight guys coming off losses or naturally smaller guys. He's been protected long enough it's time he fight a natural 154 lber in his prime.

Jocesito... went up two weight classes
Mosley... a shot fighter coming off two losses and a draw, has never done great at 154
Cintron... coming off a loss to Carlos Molina ( Molina should of got that shot )

I tried (I really have) to root for this Kid, but I can't support the way they have picked his opponents as if he were a prospect. If they wanted to move him in that manner they should of kept him a prospect not a Champion.

    Just my honest opinion. Peace

It's sad when fans would rather see pointless fights just for entertainment value. I'd rather see Canelo try to unify the division and fight the likes of Trout, Kirkland, Lara, Bundrage and others. His division is stacked with serious opposition yet you would rather see him fight Cotto coming off a loss? :patsch

Trout, but I'll watch either and a win over Cotto would still be the best of his career.

    Trout

It's long past time for the cinnamexican to face another top young hungry lion in his own weight class. Then maybe we as boxing fans can truly gage his talent level.

He should fight Trout, GBP should take the risk, if he wins he gets mad respect if he loses so what, it's not like Trout hits hard enough to beat him senseless and ruin him, a loss to Trout would be a good learning experience and he would get respect for fighting a top guy at 154.

Everyone's thinking Cotto's a better fight. It won't be. Cotto takes early rounds, Alvarez starts to overpower, Cotto runs for the last five rounds. :deal

I do not want to see Cotto offered up like Mosley was.

    From a fan's perspective - I'm genuinely concerned about the guy's health.
