You're right... You can't. Because Wade fought GGG and has the superior resume.

Would love to see ggg move up for Kovalev, Stevenson, Bivol, Beterbiev…he always makes the little guys move up, would be interesting to see him in same boat as many of his opponents…

In 2yrs the MW titles will be scattered, much as they were when Wlad fought Fury while his wife and newborn daughter were LITERALLY in grave danger.
Kaya from her mother, Hayden from herself.
GGG doesn't have that child star turned house wife issue with his own wife, but he's also a fighter who depends very much on his lower legs, the FIRST TO GO, in a fighter.
While the thought of a 22-0 DChenko v GGG fight is mouth watering, at the rate DChenko fights, GGG will be 65 and DCHENKO 59.
Charlo has a solid CV and would add to GGG legacy, but BJS has the best outside Alvarez.

    I'd prefer
    Alvarez 2 Sept
    BJS/CEJ Dec
    BJS/CEJ April 2019
    Mallow/DChenko Aug-Nov 2019

One of the big draw UK SMW titilsts 2020 then maybe a 172 CW fight vs a LHW titlist as well before retirement

Charlo would be the most dangerous and interesting fight. They both come to fight, unlike BJS and El Pollo. Derev would also be interesting. How about Charlo and Derev fight to see who gets to face GGG after Canelo. They both are at roughly the same stage in their careers. This will earn the winner the right to face the winner of the GGG-Canelo fight.

I suspect that he was in the same asylum that he's currently in.

I voted for "unroided" Canelo but I actually should have voted for BJS.

Because we all know Pednelo is going to come in steaming at the ears from whatever ungodly concoction they fed him this time, and I'm not actually interested in seeing GGG get jobbed on the cards again.

Saunders has the last major piece of the puzzle and his whitewash of Lemmy was superb. Let's see GGG unify. The Saunders fight will be huge, not only for unification, but also for him busting the Hopins record. Saunders is looking very sharp lately. Golovkin will really have to come in on all cylinders to beat him convincingly.

In terms of excitement you may well be right. But in terms of unifying and breaking records, of significance, Saunders is where it's at.

Golovkin 'needs' Saunders win more than Canelo right now, tbh. Admit it or not history will remember Golovkin as the better man that night against Canelo. And his victory against Jacobs holds no doubt. If he dethrones Saunders that would make for a nice legacy.

Kirk, do close wins not count for you? The idea that one has to dominate to get a proper 'W' is highly erroneous.

I get it, Jacobs got KO'd by a highly respected fighter (At the time) many years ago. Does his KO loss forever render him as an opponent one can't get much respect beating, unless they KO him as well?

I think Jacobs is better than a lot give him credit for, based on the loss to Pirog.

    - Close wins count, but I take into consideration how close, and the level of opposition. The Jacobs fight wasnt just close, like say, the Canelo fight, which was close... but clear, and with the overwhelming majority of the boxing world clearly seeing a Golovkin win. As opposed to the Jacobs fight, where many fighters, coaches, and boxing analysts scored that fight for Jacobs. Thats not the same as Golovkin just having a close fight. The Canelo fight, imo, was a close, but clear, fight. The Jacobs fight is a bit more then that, imo. That being said, if I considered Jacobs an elite fighter, that would sit ok with me, even great fighters will have close close fights when they fight other elite fighters. But like I will address next, I dont consider Jacobs elite, so for me, having a close close fight to the point of dispute almost, against a fighter of Jacobs calibre, to me personally, doesnt sit right, and is something I would like to see Golovkin correct, and show the seperation between the two.

    - I do not factor the Pirog fight into my consideration of Jacobs as a fighter. I simply watch his fights and judge him the way I judge every other fighter, by the eye test with taking his opposition into consideration. And going by my own personal estimation of him as a fighter, I dont rate him as elite.

    - We disagree on that. I think Jacobs is rated fairly accurately and actually overrated due to his performance against a Golovkin that looked content to coast.

    - If Jacobs goes on to show he is the real deal by beating other top tier fighters, I will admit I had him rated wrongly and that hes better than I thought.

So to summarize, I dont personally rate Jacobs as elite, so considering that he left the Golovkin fight feeling like he won it, and many boxing pros, coaches, and fans agree with him, I think their fight is contested enough to deserve a rematch so either Golovkin has the chance to show he is a true level above, or Jacobs gets a chance to show the first fight wasnt a fluke and maybe even wins the rematch. Many fighters get rematches when they run the champion super close like that, why not Jacobs?

Either way, whether its so G can show his true level, or so Jacobs can show it wasnt a fluke, I dont see why someone would be against these two clashing again in a rematch for what is considered a very contested and quality first fight.

If he beats Saunders he can legitimately claim to have cleaned out the division from when he was first made champ a couple of years ago. He got Canelo, Jacobs, and Lemieux already. Now, there's a cue forming for the next generation of middleweights: Charlo, Andrade, Murata, and Derevyanchenko. He's getting older and won't make it through all of them without a loss. Charlo or Derevyanchenko may actually be tougher fights than Saunders. That's debatable, but Saunders has been in line longer and deserves his chance.
