I'm in two minds on this. On one hand, Saunders is the British underdog going up against the great Canelo on Canelo's own turf. A win for Saunders would be epic, a historical victory for a British fighter, he'd become an instant legend. It would be a win for British boxing, in the era, and for all time. On the other hand, I can't help thinking Saunders is a bit of a ****, and probably deserves a humiliating beating as much as any current fighter.
Good question. I almost always support the UK fighter , esp when the underdog and fighting abroad. But Billy Ho is a nasty piece of work and while I know Ginger is a diva who gets all the advantages he is a very active, professional and in my view exciting fighter. So in this case i'm hoping to see Ginger put a beat down on Billy Ho.
I don't like Canelo at all, but Sanders is a next level scumbag. You're not going to see Canelo filming himself bullying vulnerable people in the street.
I want Saunders so he can lose to Eubank jnr and Young Chris will be recognised as p4p no1! But really i hope canelo beats Saunders around that 22ft ring
BJS is a grade A - Knob. The lads is a total tool. BUT Canelo has a couple of real dodgy wins on his record - i'd like to see someone get another official win over him. Terrific fighter but jesus boxing politics have helped him.. Would like to BJS get a win. Can't see it on any level. Think it will be an Alvarez win
Great question. I feel exactly the same as you - I don’t like Saunders think he’s a scumbag who has no respect for anyone or anything, doesn’t have a lot of moral fibre. That said, he is British, a massive underdog and would pull off one of the most famous upsets in boxing history, and it would be magical to see live. I’ll edge towards wanting him to win, but I’ll drink to a Canelo brutalisation too.
I want the best fighter on the night to win. If 'BJ' Saunders (as he is now known) boxes Canelo's head off, and looks convincing then I'll be behind him on the night. On the other hand, if he stinks the place out and looks like a shell of a fighter, then I wouldn't mind Canelo knocking his block off. As other have already said, it's hard to actively like either of them, so let's hope it's a competitive fight.
