Seconded, Taylor just hasn't developed, it's hard to get behind a fighter that also hasn't looked imposing in victory in so long, particulary when he has the ability, no wonder Emmanuel ripped into him so badly.

I hope Pavlik wins. Boxing would be best served, IMO, by having junior middleweight champion Taylor beaten.

Oh, I forgot to add 'officially' after 'beaten.'

I want the Middleweight division to become more open. So I want Taylor to win, so that we´ll have 2 vacated main belts next year, who will be chased by Wright, Sylvester, Mora, Asikainen, Duddy etc... Abraham, Pavlik, Taylor are all soon-to-become super middles. Sturm is a paper champ. We need more action at the top, since there are many interesting fighters besides these showboats.

I don't really mind which of them wins, but i'd probably prefer Taylor to win. If he does, it would set up a great fight with the winner of Calzaghe/Kessler at 168. If Pavlik were to win however, I wouldn't be too dissapointed and it could lead to a unification fight with Abraham, that I believe, both men and all the fans would want.

I wouldn't complain about a Taylor/ Abraham fight, but if Taylor beats Pavlik then fighting Abraham over the winner of Calzaghe/Kessler would be very foolish on his behalf. It wouldn't generate the money or interest that fighting at 168 could.

dude its a race thing, very few would admitt it so they come up with lame ass excuses like Pavlik cares about boxing and Taylor only cares about money, Not knowing that Pavlik has turned down about 7 fights that would have had him fight on HBO or showtime over the past few years because Arum said the risk reward factor was too high. Or Pavlik is humble, as if Taylor is a loudmouth??? Taylor is one of the most humble respectful fighters around.

What they really want to say is "hell yeah I want the White guy too whipp Taylors black ass":good but few have the balls to say it.

Well, ummmm, Im white and I think that the black guy is gonna box that white guys ears off.

    :D

I do think that what you are speaking of is pretty evident....and I hate it when people play the race card, but in this case, I think its relevant.

    Tough to say.

I do wonder whether the support for the challenger would have been quite as aredent had Miranda beaten Pavlik. My guess, though, is that given the backlash that Taylor has received (imo, unjustly), the discussions that would have resulted would be pretty similar.

I'm not so naive to think that race might not be at least something of a factor in terms of dictating level of support. I just don't think it's the primary factor...at least in most cases.

Or, maybe I'm just being optimistic...

In any event, I'm rooting for JT, and I think this is fight where he produces an impressive performance.

    JT by late stoppage.
