Margo is an easier fight than Cotto.

People saying he needs to move up to 154 and even 160 are full of ****. Monzon and Hagler aren't all time greats because they stuck to one division? What about Joe Louis? If he cleans up Welterweight and dominates for a few years, unifies the titles and racks up a good number of defenses then his resume could easily wind up being better than Floyds, but, of course it depends on who he beats.

that's right. but it's the "who he beats" that will say it.

He definitely doesnt need to move up. With that reasoning, you would be saying that heavyweights would have a hard time achieving ATG status b/c they have no where to go but down in weight, which they wouldnt do.

All he needs to do is unify the division and continue to defend his titles. If he chooses to move up to 154, then he could try to unify that divisioin as well. But again, he doesnt need to do this in order to achieve ATG status.

Thats exactly my ****ing point genius lol. He isn't going to waste his time with Margarito, Even if Margarito wasn't an easier fight than Cotto he still would ignore the mother ****er and take Hatton for the $. :nut

not if cotto loses to margarito. margarito has been taunting floyd for a while now. and it's hattonøs taunts that got him the floyd fight after beating castillo.

I think Cotto would need to beat Floyd for his resume to look better.

Purely because there isn't enough competition at the moment.

Read my previous post dumb ass  No **** He'd take DLH if DLH were to beat the winner of Cotto/Marg. But if Marg beats Cotto and DLH.

He ain't fighting Margarito if he could make way more fighting Hatton. :asskiss

The point is that a fighter doesn't need to fight in several different weightclasses to be great. Monzon stuck to middleweight, but no one is going to say Floyds resume is more impressive just because he fought at several weight-classes. I'm more impressed by long term dominance of a single weight-class than by jumping up in weight-classes and collecting belts.

at 147 if Cotto beats Margo. there is no comparison as Cotto would have the better resume at that weight, overall though Cotto would have to do more to overtake PBF as far as career resume goes
