A Andre Berto who beat Ortiz in the same fashion Ortiz beat Berto, or against the Ortiz who battered Berto.

Keep in mind they would be fighting on Mexican Independence Day.

    Vote and explain your vote.

    Ortiz

Bertoe isn't going to inspire Mexicans to follow him for the day the same way Ortiz can, and he doesn't have no incredible lifestory the way Victor does.

The original plan was for Floyd to fight Bertoe, but Ortiz victory will be more beneficial to Floyd.

Thanks for being unbiased Leon. Can you now go tell this to Michigan warrior in his similar poll thread.

i think Berto would've generated more interest but definitely I could be wrong.

And Ortiz didn't batter Berto. It was a close fight. I think he won by just a few points

It was a battering, not in the lopsidedness, but in the overall ferocity of the fight.

    Ortiz won comfortable, too.

Thread question: Ortiz would do better numbers...

Ortiz on Mexican Independence Day, but Undefeated vs Undefeated sounds more interesting any other day..

That fight was not close at all. Outside of the 2 knockdowns what did Berto do? Latin fighters bring more fans period. No one follows Berto at all. It's HBO who shoved him down our throats

Trust me after Ortiz quitting, I would find it suprising if he has a large Mexican fanbase because like Oscar, he's Mexican Americans and many hardcore Mexican fightfans don't consider him to be a full blooded Mexican nor fight like one. But he still brings more money to the table than Berto. What an overrated HBO hypejob he was and I saw his loss coming a mile away.
