To get credit in this division?

The man wrenched the torch from Wlad and suddenly Wlad is old and shot

He would destroy Wilder, Povetkin is too small, Joshua ain't ready, is this a weak division or are we just not giving Tyson any credit?

He is the champ and no one can take that away from him. He has made history. He has changed the world. He is the man who beat the man.

If he wants ATG recognition, then those are indeed the names: Klitsckho rematch, Povetkin, Wilder, Joshua...maybe Haye even though he is shot. Chagaev can get in there to. Winner of Glazkov-Martin.

He has credit for beating WALDO. To cement his position he needs a scalp similar to Wilder, Povetkin, Ortiz. There will always be detractors but any of the aforementioned are solid wins.

    Haters gunna hate

    Fury is the goat

He will crush your favourite boxer whoever it maybe

Only the k-bros, LL, Bowe, ali and young foreman have a chance against the furious one

    But they still all lose

It is amazing how he gets no credit and still loses just about every fantasy match out there.

The average joe seems to be blinded by their hatred of the bloke. The hatred is just pathetic imo, there was a time when being a good christian meant you were a decent person.

It's because the average joe has a chance against most boxers

Against Tyson Fury they have no chance at all

    Inadequacy leads to hate

Fury is as far beyond most boxers as they are beyond joe bloggs

It sounds like you are making excuses for not wanting him to fight any of those guys.

Obviously beating Wilder, Povetkin and Joshua (and for icing on the cake maybe Takam, Parker, Martin, Pulev and Perez to not just clean out the division but scrub it squeaky) would totally legitimize his reign ...more so than beating a vegetative deposed Wlad again in a rematch.

I would have to concede to calling him the best heavyweight since Lewis if he did that, as the quality in that small handful of wins probably would trump all of Wlad's longevity.

Actually if he beat all eight of the aforementioned names his title reign officially becomes superior to both of the Klitschko brother's résumés, combined.

The Fury vs Wlad threads prior to the fight were riddled with what ifs.

Lots of comments about Wlad being labelled as Shot, should he lose, yet most laughed and rubbished the idea.

Since Fury beat him, nearly every thread is littered with the " shot and/or old " excuse.

Should Fury beat Povetkin and Wilder, they'll then be labelled " hype jobs ".

    Some posters are just bitter.

Lol you are already down playing him and he hasn't had a defense yet.

If he did that you couldn't just concede he was the best since lewis. He would be right at the top of the table in the atg stakes, suggesting otherwise seems like some sort of agenda against him.

You sound like you hope he doesnt fight them because he could be the atg? Just speculatin at this stage, he hasnt even won the rematch yet.

I've been accused of being as unwilling as it gets to give Fury any credit.

I just stated in no uncertain terms on record above that I would give him full credit for ANY of those wins, let alone 3 (which legitimized him as being a respectable world champ), let alone the entire shebang or even close to all eight, which puts him in high standing historically.

    :patsch

Are the clouds made of cotton-candy and reachable for a plucked fistful on tippy-toe where you live? As long as you're happy I guess.

Fury will never get credit from some of the morons on this site.

Other fighters who have done far more than Fury get called "bums" and "frauds".

There will always be people who don't know very much about boxing but think it is perfectly acceptable to take a slash over others achievements because they are on a boxing forum and their opinions are all that matter and refuse to be educated.

It's not just Fury. Any fighter will only get so much credit for one great win. Obviously you have to prove it wasn't a one off and that you can beat other styles. Longevity and depth of resume counts for something and rightly so.
