    Of course, ever since IV-gate, whether or not you can really call Fluid a great is very much a moot point depending on your attitude to cheating. However most people still consider him an ATG. Who does GGG have to beat to surpass him?

    ggg could fight another 20 years and he couldnt surpass floyd at his current rate....

    its sad...once ward fights kovalev it will be written in stone that lil g could never even surpass ward

    Golovkin is streets ahead of Fluid as a fighter.

    However, any objective person has to admit that PBF has a much better legacy ... AT THIS POINT.

    Golovkin can either unify, keep crushing all opposition at MW and get the record for the most defences ... OR he can chalk up a few signature wins against guys that define his place in history. If he beat, say, Zurdo and Canelo and some other young lion and these guys go on to be great, then yeah, he'd surpass PBF.

    he never will, 20 years from now Golovkin won't even be a footnote in boxing lore. That's nothing to take away from his skillset or reign, it's just a simple fact. Very few fighters of this era will be talked about 20 years from now.

    He could demonstrate that he's better by beating a few elites and one at-or-near prime Great or High/Mid level HOF....Mayweather only beat a few elites in his whole 19 year career, and very past prime/shot Greats.
