Who does GGG have to beat to surpass exposed drug cheat Floyd Mayweather?

If GGG fought for another 20 years and remained undefeated, he'd surpass Floyd even at the current rate for sure.

 

ggg has to step it up and make fights, and he'll have to beat somebody like Ward to even have a shot but it's obvious ggg does not care about legacy. Idiots caping for him worrying about contracts, purse splits, catchweights when winning a legacy fight would give him leverage over all that bull****. ggg's handlers and his fanboys are stupid as ****.

 

it would be nice for someone to eclipse the dirty old mans record, but its not going to be 3g, hes 34 and is still in single figures for world title defences.

he does have a lot of 2nd tier "regular" defences but they aren't world title defences. U cant defend a world title when someone other than you holds the organisations real world title - because that would make their defences redundant. only one counts for each organisation, or they aren't world titles but "shared/half/quarter world titles" instead.

 

Herol has a point, I guess it's how you define a "world title defence". Too many frickin belts = records are a matter of opinion.

 

A serious unbiased answer cuz all the answers so far are vague or scream hate one way or fanboy the other.

If GGG is looking to become a better ATG than Floyd then he needs to
1. Remain undefeated and reach 50-0 or higher
2. Continue with knocking opponents out
3. Fight more popular fighters

If he can do those 3 then he could become ranked higher. And sorry OP just because Floyd did use IV doesn't mean all of his accomplishments are worth nothing. Life doesn't work like that so become more mature. You're coming off as a hater like some of these other posters on this board and you don't want that

 

All he has to do is not get caught and avoid testing like he has been doing.

 

Floyd did not cheat, USADA and NSAC said it was okay. And don't even say 750ml was 14X over the limit, he was severely dehydrated and close to death.

He needs to unify the titles at middleweight. Floyd never unified. Then he needs to go 50-0 and retire undefeated. He's basically 15 fights from doing that right now.
