HATERZ INC can only throw out names of fighters that both promoters would have to move heaven and earth to make the fight:huh:huh:huh

Lara???? PBC, Showtime if he's in a big fight.
Ward??? LHW, always difficult to work with.
Stevenson? One of boxings biggest ducks in history, and with Haymon/PBC/Showtime.
Any of the random top 10 SMWs????? Do any of them garner your respect outside of which banner they fly, IE Jack, TMT, DeGale the next potential British megastar....

I mean, GGG has tried in earnest to make the best fights. Pirog, Sturm, Martinez, Cotto, Canelo, Mayweather, Ward, etc etc etc.

I would love to see him vs Lara.
Love to see him vs a Charlo, Andrade, Ward.

But he can just magically snap his fingers and be standing face to face with these guys with a referee between the two.

His resume and HOW he's beaten the top 10 MWs on after another.......It's without question that he is a HOFer already.

If boxing today was as it was 30-40 yrs ago.....genuine GOAT claims would be spewing from ESPN every 3 months when another great "black", "British" or American took his knee or when the ref counted him out. :---(

 

You make good points irt GOAT claims, but the reasons for which these claims are based are due to his being mandatory to Sturm but being ducked, then annihilating the man who beat him.
Him being mandatory to Martinez and then annihilating the man who had recently beaten(but was robbed) Martinez.

His being mandatory to Cotto, but being blatantly ducked, Canelo but being blatantly ducked, and then the whole Pirog mess.

GGG would likely have decimated Pirog, Sturm, Barker, Geale, Mundine, Taylor Martinez and Chavez Jr when they were titlist, but they chose instead to hide from him as if he were carrying ebola virus in his gloves.

I truly hate the triangle theory, but it's so often used by haterz inc, particularly in the case of Bute Ward, that if we apply it here, we can say by default Golovkin may just as well have Sturm, Martinez, Abraham, Taylor etc etc etc on his resume, and if those "fanboys" are using this logic, it's less difficult to swallow.

Im of the opinion that like ALL sports, boxing has evolved, and therefore, modern athletes are typically better than past era athletes with one glaring etc, ie HEART/HUNGER.

Past athletes, most prominently, lower class American athletes, had HEART/HUNGER due to being raised in desperate poverty, and their hunger carried them to greatness.

I would argue, however, that the CURRENT E/E countries, former Soviet States, share that same HUNGER that once made American athletes great.
Sadly though, modern American poverty equals out to flat screen tvs in every room, 1K each month in food aid, and free housing and utilities, thus causing modern Americans that loss of HUNGER and in many cases, HEART.:---(
