Who does Joyce face next then?

Realistically he's not fighting for a belt until late 2023.

Best case scenario he fights Ruiz or Wilder. Other names I wouldn't be opposed to; Whyte, Pulev, Zhang, Hrgovic.

 

Joyce V Chisora is downright unsafe at this point.

 

He should go with someone from within the top 10 at most, like Whyte, Joshua, Ruiz, Ortiz, Wilder, Usyk or Fury. It's not that there aren't promising opponents in top 20, but he has no time for them being 37 years old and if aiming at a world title.

 

Yeah I'd have to agree but at the same time, Chisora doesn't seem to look like he wants to stop.

 

Dillian Whyte would be good, but I doubt Whyte would take it.

I'd say Ruiz, as he's coming off a win. Chisora would be too easy. I'd like to see a rematch with Dubois in a couple years, if both keep winning.

 

He should fight a journeyman, someone like Joshua, then go for the real meat in the division.

 

He won’t get a shot until at least the back end of next year

Given that he’s 37 I’d still like him to be in meaningful fights until then rather than just ticking over in no mark fights until he gets his shot.

That will do absolutely nothing for him. He should keep the momentum going.. being involved in good solid fights (like this weekend against Parker) will only make him tougher to beat when he does get his shot.

 

Fury needs to take tips from “Ajay” on how to get bouts versus old men who are just on the verge of retirement like Klitschko, Povetkin, Pulev… his finest “top 10” wins

Could happen lol, he's having a bit of a late surge in his career is the much maligned Lucas Browne.

On Joyce, I've noticed that Frank likes to put him in with a soft touch before any meaningful fight so I'd expect to see him in with an old former would title challenger before fighting against someone decent straight after.

 

Granted Joyce would be favourite againstbeither but Bakole coming off an impressive dominant win over Yoka. Sanchez looks very good technically from what I've seen and schooled Ajagba (who is basically a young version of Wilder).

At Joyce age he can't afford to be inactive for large periods so unless he fights Usyk in Feb that's the only way he gets a title shot anytime soon.

 

I don't rate Yoka and Ajagba either. I just don't see it with the likes of Hunter, Sanchez, Helenius, Bakole and Hrgovic. I don't know, maybe it's just me.
