Kovalev and ggg to me are like twins yet they're opposites too. It's 100% to me like they've meshed the best of each other's game with their own.

Ggg is more of a machine, seek and destroy. Kovalev is that too but I love his atg legs. He has so much great bounce in his legs. He's always in his range yet out of their range, same with ggg. Ggg doesn't bounce and literally jump around like kovalev.

They both put immense mental and physical pressure on, start to finish. They both cut the ring better than I've seen. Truly amazing.

We are so lucky to have these 2 wreaking havoc on boxing like crazy. Looks like kovalev is a little more of a nasty man. I don't think anyone can compete with either, except for each other.

Time will show the people failing to understand what they're seeing or failing to admit what they see

Nearly every shot he throws has something on it. His handspeed, balance, ability to manage distance while being the aggressor, and shot selection are all underrated attributes in my opinion.

The guy is also a multi-dimensional fighter.

I think contextual evidence supports Hotah being the biggest living badass in Westeros, albeit massively underrated outside Dorne. He doesn't have the widespread reputation of a Kingslayer or the Clegane bros or even his countryman the Red Viper but my strong impression has been that Martin intends him to be a sort of hidden gem and easily the h2h equal of any of them.

...plus he is as dispassionately committed and workmanlike as he is ruthless. He just serves with cool, efficient and unquestioning loyalty at the behest of Prince Doran, much as Kovalev does with Kathy.

major ice and fire fan, respect. I like this kind of depth.

All we need is a banner for Sergey now.

Cant believe WoW isn't planned for release soon.

There were rumors it was going to be announced for a surprise quick-turnaround release prior to GoT S6, but words are wind... :verysad

I'd agree but Kovalev has his own special brand of punishing people.

Kovalev killed a man early on his career. Doctors and trainers needs to be ready to pull their man out / stop the fight because he's a no mercy bas @ss

Vitali looked so rational & concerned after Byrd hurt him :think

Kovalev falls in the same category as Hagler, Monzon, Valero & McCllelan genuinely bad folks not just an act :smoke

Kovalev reminds me of a wartime criminal from some civil war torn former Soviet republic. A guy they'd put in charge of mass-torturing suspected enemy spies. Kovalev would show up for 'work' at 6 am, torture a dozen poor souls with a blow torch, then be back home at 8 pm just in time to tuck his baby daughter into bed.

All you need to know is that he has killed a man with his fist and it did not change him.

Almost every man that has killed another in the ring loses something. They're never the same.

    His savagery has remained.

As a fictional character, he also reminds me of Gnaeus (and looks so much like him, too) from Spartacus Series:

Gnaeus was a cold, heartless guy in the series.

I don't think Kov EVER wanted to kill anyone in the ring, he was just badly ****ed off at Pascal and his race baiting antics at the pre-fight presser
