Who does Loma need to beat to become an ATG?

    If Loma isn’t one already he may be on his way to become one. So my question is who exactly does he need to beat in order to be mentioned amongst the other ATGs of the past?
    Hes reached his optimum weight limit and it would be wise that he sticks to that division for awhile. I feel like a convincing win over Mikey should solidify that but there’s always more that he can do even after beating the #1 guy in the division. Regardless Loma will always have his mindless haters who just wont admit that he’s a great fighter.

    He would have had to beat the best fighter from every division he's fought in or unified.

    Now he would have to capture titles in 5 divisions for me to rank him as an ATG or at least unify SFW, LW, JrWW.

    You answered your own question , if he beats Garcia there can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that he is a ATG.

    Beating Mikey would be huge. Then all he needs is to have 2-3 years of good string of opponents at LW and he's ATG.

    Not all of the fighters in the past who are considered ATG won titles in 5 different weight classes, in fact Ry Leonard was the first despite his super middle title win is dubious in terms of being legit, Loma is too small to win titles at light welter and welter.

    He can unify around his weight class, move up and fight the best 140 pounder. Those are his best options. Just keep winning and fighting ranked opposition.

    ATG (IMO) is reserved for a fighter that is consistent throughout their career, not beating a certain fighter. at a certain point in their career.

    I classify Loma P4P best in this era as of last night,- but that is because I ranked Linares as a top tier fighter.
    No way could I rank him ATG in 13 fights.

    I obviously know that, but Loma doesn't have the dance partners who can elevate him to ATG status, so he needs to do something amazing.

    And no, winning a title at 26 with almost 400 amateur fights most at the world level is not as incredible as its hyped up to be.

    Winning a world title at SFW at age 17, now that is ATG **** right there.

    Others have already said it....Mikey is the name he needs.

    Plenty of other names can add to it, but that's the one he NEEDS to target.
