Admittedly it would be scary what Pryor might do to Linares in a hypothetical match-up, but there are no Pryors around at the moment for Loma. I'd like to see Garcia take the challenge and then a clean out of 135 including the likes of Davis and other upcoming fighters. Then junior WW if the right fights can be made. Loma is a small framed dude and there is a limit to how far he can go up in weight. Jorge was already clearly bigger. Consider Bud Crawford who just left 140. He would be huge next to Loma and although skilled, he is also a weight bully, which Loma is not.

He needs to beat Mikey Garcia at the minimum. Unfortunately, there aren't any other great fighters near his weight class; so unless he wants to move up to welterweight he's restricted to some world class but otherwise B level competition. Then it's a numbers game of how many defenses he can make of a title and how many unifications. What's his longevity like, etc.

I guess technically he has to do more than the 100th most revered fighter in history. According to the Classic p4p list that is George Foreman. He won a gold medal at the Olympics, became a unified champ at 23 beating HOFer Joe Frazier, beat another HOFer in Ken Norton, retires for ten years and then becomes champ again at 45 years old. Oh, and he had 5 defenses of the belt. Lomachenko has a gold medal and has beaten Rigo a future HOFer. He needs another HOFer, and he's already got more than 5 defenses.

Number 99 is Jung Koo Chang who in addition to one HOFer Hilario Zapata, also beat Sot Chitalada and has 16 title defenses. Maybe, Linares is in the class of Chitalada and Loma just needs seven more defenses to tie things up.

Number 98 is Niccolino Locche who beat 2 HOFers Joe Brown and Antonio Cervantes and has five defenses.

James Toney at 97 beat HOFers Mike McCallum and Evander Holyfield, defended 8 times, and fought in five weight classes.

It looks like to crack the ATG list you need to beat 2 HOFers and defend a title five times.

Beat Mikey as a start. Then maybe just dominate that division or the one below if he can get back down. I don't that he can do a lot at 140 to be honest but he'll have to probably try it eventually. No shame if he fails there

The opposition for him to beat to make him an ATG doesn't exist. In 4 pages only one name has been mentioned and thats a fight that will take a lot of work to get made and its very likely it'll get made at all.
There's also the possibility he could lose that fight , although i think he would win it handily.

He's already an ATG in some capacity , but to be a top p4p ATG , he'll need to beat better guys than Beltran , Tank Davis and the like.

ATG is just a general consensus.. It's nothing but a label. Subjective..

Didn't he just beat the #1 ranked LW already? I keep hearing Garcia.. Is Garcia suddenly an ATG or something? If anything Garcia needs Loma! I'm not seeing what sets a LW Garcia apart from Linares other than an '0' & maybe durability? & even then people forget Martinez & Estrada dropped him lol Skill & athleticism wise I'd take Linares in fact.. Isn't Linares bigger than MG too? He looks a pudgy mess half the time!! No doubt it's a top match & MG is quality but Loma is the man to beat at SFW & LW not Garcia! Let's get that straight first.. MG just fought Lipinets LOL

Loma just needs to keep doing his thing.. Taking belts & taking challenges. He certainly doesn't need to prove anything to keyboard Kevin or 45000 posts a year Lindell!

Garcia's poor opposition choices over 38 fights to date will come back to hurt him, watch! Loma UD Garcia. Confident.

Just reading about Oscar who we all rate highly right?well he took 22fights to achieve something similar as appose to Lomos 11.
What Lomos is doing is different is all.A fight with Mikey Garcia would be something though as Mikey has the power to drop Lomo and is no shabby boxer himself, will that fight ever happen though as you get the feeling Lomo wouldn’t duck anyone?

loma needs to clean out a weight class and beating garcia is a good win but it isn't gonna make him an atg because whos garcia beat all his done is move up the weights and picked up easy titles the amount of fights garcia has had and loma has a better resume lol
