I could understand if you think Sergio's resume isn't as illustrious as Pacman's or Floyd's, but at the sametime it's foolish to even try to discredit Sergio.

Why in the hell is he p4p#3 if his resume sucks so bad?
Why in the hell are Pacman and Floyd's people not even mentioning him? And don't give me that "Oh, we won't make any money off him b.s." when Floyd fought JMM and Pacman fought Clottey. Those 2 not any more popular than Sergio is.
Sergio TWICE fought the most avoided fighter in boxing, lost a controversial decision the first time, destroyed an iron chinned Williams the second time, beat a decent fighter in Cintron who around that time beat tough as nails Angulo, and beat a difficult Dzinziruk who in all his amateur and professional career NEVER been knocked down, much less ko'd. Dzinziruk was a major threat to Cotto, Cintron, Kirkland, Lara, and even Williams and now he is a bum because he got destroyed by Sergio?
    Your right, Sergio's resume does suck that's why he's p4p #3. :rofl:rofl:rofl

martinez is not done.. trust me, with the way he's fighting right now, i realy dont see anyone beating him. i know he'll take on the winner of supersix, hopefuly ward, then just keep on fighting the best.. shoot, it be a blockbuster hit if he faught hopkins, i'de pay however much to see that.. cuz hopkins dont backdown frm nobody. i just wish he'd stop calling out welterweights.

    Exactly.

    2 questions:

1)Who would you like to see Martinez fight that he hasn't fought thus far?

2)What boxing skills/talents does Martinez not possess, since he's a hype job and not a legitimate P4Per?

I actually think I agree that Margarito would still have a solid chance at beating Martinez. The original thread topic is ridiculous, Martinez has one of the best resumes out there right now, but Martinez is the type of guy Margarito beats. MArgarito loses to or struggles with guys who can take his shots and land better ones. Guys who try to move get eaten up.

He fought the very best available opposition for 3 years back to back and won in impressive fashion for the most part. He's got a better resume than Donaire....only guys that could arguably rank higher are Pac, Floyd, JMM and B-Hop and I would definetly place him above JMM and B-Hop as of now and Floyds inactive so shouldn't be on the list. Pavlik was the man at MW and Martinez was an underdog, same with the Williams fights, Williams was top 5 p4p and Martinez was the underdog. **** outa here with Quintana comparison. This guy's just another ******* mad about people giving attention and props to anyone that isn't Pac. They can't take it that there are other elite boxers in the world that occasionaly steal a little thunder from Pac.

I agree. For years I've tried to figure why beating Paul Williams make you a Christ like figure. Williams eats punches 3 square meals a day. Now Lara only needed 1 time to beat him even though he didn't get the dec. Now people are saying he's the best at 154...just for beating Williams? Why does beating Paul Williams make you an ATG? Never understood it. Anyway, he beat a depressed Pavlik who was sonned by his dad Hopkins and had to lose that extra weight. Then beat Sergei Dzi who had 1 fight in 2 years. This Barker actually showed me quite a few deficiencies of this Martinez. Would like to see either Lee, Pirog or Golovkin get him.
