Can someone please explain to me why PBF is the consensus p4p #1? Because I really don't get how he has achieved more than Pacquiao.

I mean, take the worthless belts out of the equation, then re-judge.

Beating Casa does it for you?!

Casa is about 30% of what he used to be, and no where near elite level talent anymore. This is basically like people putting Calzaghe at #1 if he beats BHop, which is ridiculous considering BHops age and talent level these days

PBF is realistically not even in the picture, as he's doing jack **** all year, but he's there until he officially calls it quits OR until someone starts gaining a serious win or two who's trailing him.

If Pac would have DECISIVELY beaten JMM by either a very clear decision, or a KO.

    He'd be P4P #1 on everybody's list.

Not even, decimate another top fighter, like Guzman, and he's got it. **** Floyd, he's doing nothing in 2008.

    :patsch

Ok so even if we take belts and accomplishments out of the equation who is the better fighter? Pac vs Mayweather at 130; who is better? Way to stick your foot in your own mouth

I agree with you here, even though I think Guzman beats Pac. And actually you have a point; if all Mayweather does in 2008 is re-match DLH perhaps he should be dropped on p4p lists :think . Re-matching DLH doesn't impress me at all....don't know about you

Thats silly cos styles makes fights. MAB is equally as good as JMM in terms of skills specially back in 2003 yet pac brutalised him. JMM held the stylistic advantage over Pac. Not quite as extreme but what he did would be equivalent to Floyd beating Hearns, a guy who posses stylistic nightmare yet still come out on top, by an inch or not.

It's all about who has achieved more, not who looks stylish in the ring....

Ok......I didn't even hint at anything along those lines so I don't know where you were going with that.
The point of making a p4p list is to state who the best p4p fighters are in the world. Casa gets beaten by anyone at B level or better so he's in no position to be on anyones list (imo) and so Pac beating him doesn't suddenly make him the concensus #1 on my list. And quite honestly that just sounds ridiculous to me because everyone in their right mind knows that Casa is waaaay past it

Even then, Mayweather has won more titles in more weight classes. If you only lineal titles, they are even at 3 apiece. So Mayweather has a slight advantage.

There is no direct route, its all a matter of opininion, there can be no rightful p4p number 1!

no matter how many names Pac can rack up, if weight wasnt an issue i cant see him beating Floyd Mayweather, and that goes ofr if Mayweather was a natural super feather or if Pac was a natural welter. therefore I cant rack Pac no.1 p4p...

I've heard some people on PACLAND who really believe he would take out Klitschko, outbox Tyson and probably land a hayemaker on Lennox Lewis. But Ali, would be hard :rofl

    Do you mean P4P?

IF PBF continues to act like a ***** . . . running away from rightfull challengers and Pac is succesful in getting his third Ring Belt by defeating Casamayor then Pacquaio should be number 1.

    Four divisional Champ . . . and three ring belts (126, 130 & 135) . . . damn only a fool or a moron can argue against that.
