IF & thats a big IF he comes back i would pick him to do 2 fights Cotto & the winner of Hatton - Pac.!!!!
Personally I'm sick of all this retirement & come back stuff. You're either a fighter, in love with the game, who wants to keep proving himself. Or you're just a celebrity which is what Floyd has become. His resume is good but he's certainly not one of the greatest ever. There are far too many holes & missed opportunities on his slate.
I wouldn't go as far as calling him a joke but I just dont like the way he thinks he can hold the sport to ransom. Its like, take the fight with Cotto & be taken seriously or **** around on the WWE & dont bother us fight fans anymore. He cant have it both ways.
Then hes dreaming. Floyd picked the right fights but there are glaring ommissions form his resume such as Spadafora, Tszyu, Mosley & Cotto. Jordan had to be out there proving himself week in week out whereas a lot of Mayweathers fights have simply been a bonfire of vanities.
I think the first three names u said 1. Spad I think was about to go to jail, but I think Floyd would had beat him 2. Tszyu would had been my dream fight, but REMMEBER Tszyu was hurt for a long while and when he fought Hatton the fight with Gatti was a couple weeks later. 3. Him and Mosley has been playing mind games for a long time. I reember this show on BET called mad sports were Shane said he wanted the fight but he turned it down. This was after the 2nd Hoya fight. But we all know about the tooth and Vacation deal. 4. Cotto is to much of a risk for him sad to say because Floyd was my fav, but I'm bout to be Cotto, Kahn, Gamboa, Haye, and Berto fan Correct me if I'm wrong
Hesitant?. ..hahaha...yeah ok...Cotto isnt the BoogyMan... Mayweather is already a PPV star and Hall of Famer.also he has been a champ for over ten years......Cotto is trying to get to that level....Cotto hasnt even beat a real CHAMP he won his "belt" it in a title eliminator......how in the hell is Floyd afraid of cotto?atsch ...Mayweather beat the REAL ww Champ and he beat the Man(judah) who got his titles taken away from him...just to show the public that he woulda beat judah even if he had the belts!!! You must remember boxing is all politics...PBF used to be with Arum...he isnt just gonna let Arum stick his hands in the cookie jar...he is making Arum & Cotto build there stock up to maximize the potential of this fight and then Mayweather will take the fight & OWN Cotto...... go look at the Judah - Cotto fight and Mosley - Cotto fight...see how often Judah & Mosley hit Cotto....the only problem is Judah & Mosley dont have the SKILL or DEFENSE to back up the offense they stood right infront of Cotto..REMEMBER Cotto HAS NEVER been in the Ring with a fighter like Mayweather....EVER....Mayweather has seen plenty of Cotto's and Beat them at their own game...he is to versatile for Cotto...Mayweather does have the defense to negate Cotto's "Onslaught" (as people call it)....Cotto gets hit easily and Mayweather will pick him apart....Cotto doesnt posses anything that Mayweather hasnt seen b4 in the ring....:-(
:yep amen to that...when he does fight him and makes it look easy it'll just be onto the next guy they want him to fight
If Cotto beats Margo, Hoya, and Williams he will be in no question about that. But I think 154 is to big for him which would suck, because that class needs to be cleaned up
He was offered a fight with Spadafora before his legal problems had started in earnst. Paul was undefeated at lightweight so this is a fight that should have happened. The injuries to Tszyu were obviously a hindrance but he could have fought him rather than Bruseles. Floyds 140 legacy means nothing because he won a paper championship there. Mosley has never ducked anyone, its an important fight that, regardless of the reasons, should have taken place. Floyds 147 legacy is sketchy at best although he did at least hold the true title there. Mayweather/Cotto would have been the biggest fight for boxing & the fact he didn't fight him along with his patchy legacy at 147 leaves a unsatisfactory ending for a man with great talents but a love more for mone than legacy. All of that is fine but Floyd wants to be remembered as the greatest of all time. For the reasons above & more he most certainly isn't that.
130 and 135 he was a beast, but I guess he had a plan and just went with it, cant hate on him, but most of his fans including myself are mad about the situation. But the thing that gets me made is Pac whoped Diaz ass bad, but Floyd shuld have at least tried to do the same against Baldo
im sick of this COTTO Hype job.....the same **** happened with Ricky Hatton...then after the fight people said..."Hatton was too small"..lol.. Hatton walks around @180 lbs ...now all of a sudden he is too small? its all excuses.... Mayweather has the RJJ plague...they are sooo much better than everyone else that people want to see them fight everyone... When RJJ beat RUIZ (something Rahman, Toney, Golata...couldnt do....**** Holyfield fought him 3 times and only beat him once)....people tried to discredit the win by saying..."it wasnt Lennox Lewis"
