Thats not the point though is it? Floyd wants to be remembered as one of the greatest of all time. Failing to make the biggest fights in a deep division doesn't make you one of the greatest of all time.

Honestly I think Cotto can clean out 154 pretty easily. Like I said I'm a Floyd fan,but it obvious that Floyd wanted to fight Cotto at 140 when he was green. But I think his advissors are telling him not to anymore. Sorry my man but Cotto is a beast and the scary thing is he seems to be getting better every fight

 

Floyd didn't clean out 154, 147, or 140. So I don't know what your talking about. Clean out a divinsion means that you beat or fight every possible threat but I can name a whole list of fighters Floyd never fought. Same for Cotto, but I think he is on tract to take over 147, even if loses to Margo he took the risk .I have to respect that

 

how has he failed to make the Biggest fights?...he is already a HOFer....Cotto isnt even the BIGGEST fight....he can make more money fighting HATTON...yes HATTON..the same guy who beat a REAL WW title holder (COLLAZO)and has Belts @140....he can make more fighting DE LA HOYA.....once you reach the elite level of boxing that means you have paid your dues and have EARNED THE RIGHT to fight the BIG MONEY FIGHTS....

if you think Mayweather wont fight Cotto you are insane..but that fight doesnt generate BIG MONEY now....let him beat Margo..then BEAT OSCAR and that fight will be a MEGA EVENT......Floyd has beat HOF'ers and CHAMPS for the past 10 years....he has nothing to prove ..his legacy is already written.....
