Caribe promotions needs to get a hold of Golden Boy Promotions & try to set up fights with Leo Santa Cruz & Abner Mares ASAP.
(Wins over them would bump him to number 3 or 4 easily)

IMO... Rigo just needs to keep winning he already beat the big fish in his pond.

    Mares/Garcia/Chris John!

And with Floyd/Ward continue being inactive.

Mares/LSC/Chris John....Dream matches for sure. I'd say hes in the middle of the listings in the top 10 lb 4 lb. Like 5,6,7. His skills however are that of lb 4 lb number 1. We all know that though. Its a matter of notching up significant wins.

If he schooled Mares/LSC/Chris John/ and then moved up and school Mikey Garcia at 126 I would first of all **** and **** in my own pants and need a defibrillator to bring me back to life, then he would certainly make a case for being the best fighter in boxing. We all know that Floyd is going to coast into retirement. There is going to be a moment where fighters like Andre Ward and Rigo start sharing a legitimate space at #1 with Floyd.

Chris John is never going to fight Rigo, so there is no point in mentioning him. If Rigo dominated Mares and then moved up and was able to beat Mikey Garcia, he would be #1 on my list.

Beating mares ain't some big massive achievement. Its a solid win. Sometimes these lower weight fighters get way overrated in weak divisions. Some of the guys rigo and donaire have beat are no better than the likes of Alexander, berto, brook, matthyse, Garcia etc

By the way not saying rigo overrated but the guys he will now face will be. He beat donaire there no one else in them weightclasses as good as donaire. Rigo won't ever come number 1 although he has the talent to. The fights just ain't there for him

Once PBF retires, with JMM gone too, there's only one man who performs at such a high level who has beaten at least one A level fighter: Rigondeaux.

There's no one else, is there?

Since PBF and JMM ain't going to be fighting fighters better than Mares... Rigo's taking it by default.:good

If he wants to be the pound for pound champion the Rigo needs to beat Floyd, or wait for him to retire and the fight Ward.
