I think of Gene Fuller and lesser Dick Tiger because of their brute strength. Even though Urango punches harder.
I mean physically, and I've said this before, he reminds me of Tyson. He's just carved out of granite, and his back just looks like a bull's. Its incredible, he has to be 0% body fat to carry all of that muscle at 140. But yeah, from what I've seen of him he's not a very skilled boxer at all, just lunges and swings looping hooks. I don't know who quite to compare him with as far as boxing styles go.
Urango has skinny, longer legs. Thus his upper body is short but yet quite large in comparison to those of the weight division. If you compare his legs to Randall Bailey's in the fight, Randall has thicker, more muscular legs and is an inch taller. Same thing with Ngoudjo. I actually have the same build as Urango and look decievingly big for my weight. I'm just very broad across having 20" or 22" shoulders and very big arms naturally at 5"8. Urango walks around 155-160lbs during his off time. Probably more around the 155lbs range. Hope this clears up some misconceptions.
A smaller David Tua. Extremeyely hard-hitting, short, strong, built like a tank, can take a good shot, kind of slow and has problems with boxers, and when faced with a good oppoenent his fights can lag in action but when the KO comes it's always explosive stuff.
I was thinking the same thing. If it were to come down to Tyson or Tua.... Urango is alot more like Tua in the sense that he's more plodding and less explosive like Tua (at least compared to a young Tyson).
Man, he took hell of a loaded up right hand from Bailey! He took a few seconds to get up but then he came back to win! Good ending to FNF!
jeff lacy b4 the calzaghe fight he doesnt have alot of skill but can hit hard im not impressed by urango
