Wlad fought and beat them both. Has he been asked to make a prediction on this fight?

actually that's a good question. this is often asked of boxers who have fought two foes who are about to fight each other, whether they won or not.

peter gave wladimir a harder time than mccline did so going on that logic, peter should come out on top.

but then you have to throw in other factors too. wladimir was mentally much more relaxed and confident in the mccline fight just before his loss to sanders. so i guess he performed more naturally in that fight. going against peter wladimir had to exorcise demons, so while he had improved under manny steward he needed that fight with peter to help remove some doubt in his mind.

what would have happened if the roles were reversed? peter before the sanders and brewster losses? and mccline in his rebuilding phase?

i think if mccline really, really really tries hard to work on his stamina etc in the gym he could possibly out box peter in a boring UD. mccline proved he can take a licking, he's just never been that much better to win anything big.
peter definately has the iron chin of the two, and more power, but less boxing skills. i still dont rate his "improvements" in the toney fight. it's one thing to show some flash against a guy who is shorter, weaker, old, overweight and shot. mccline is younger, far bigger, longer reach etc. and still has some desire i think.

and has duva said. this fight is a risk for sam because mccline is similar in stature to klitschko, and with some good boxing ability to go with it. it's possible mccline might try to emulate wladimir's method to beat peter. might work too if peter has not really trained hard.

however, if peter ko's mccline, or makes him so scared of his power early on that mccline loses from going into a defensive shell, then we can assume peter once and for all has great power.

if it took wladimir 10 rounds to ko mccline, then sam peter doing it faster will prove he has championship level power.

similar to how pavlik recently proved his power is world class. often times you see fighters blow away tomato cans, but the moment they step up their competition, the power seems to disappear.

should be a very interesting fight to see if peter has improved since his loss to klitschko.

McCline takes this fight if the ref enforces the rules and keeps Peter off the back of Jameel's head.
