Work his way into contention with the top 4-5 guys. If he can reach that point...Ortiz would be a good target, this bout would test whether he can go on and compete with the top guys in the division.

If he could beat Santa Cruz again without uppercutting himself in the face and acting like he's SRR, I would respect him.

Kirkland? Zab just moved back down to 140, now you want him to go up to 154? He'd get killed.

Victor Ortiz? The guy who got slaughtered by the "great" Marcos Maidana?

I guess if he beat one of the four belt holders he'd earn some respect from me. But he'd have to beat Bradley, who I think is the best of the lot, for me to think he's at the top. I think a good measuring stick for him would be to fight that cat that gave Alexander so much trouble (sorry, his name escapes me at the moment). If he can't get past that guy, he should just give it up. If he beats that guy, then I think he's earned a shot at the title.

Its hard to give Zab respect when you know he's using Panama Lewis as an unofficial trainer. The same Panama who dangled a carrot at Resto right in front of the camera in that HBO docu, when he said he'd give him money if things turn out well, just when Resto was asking him what happened who did what on that fateful night.
Lewis is doing great thanks to guys like Zab, while Resto is living day by day.

Zab already has my respect. Former undisputed wleterweight champion of the world who also stood in tough against Cotto and the terrible beating he got there. Thing is he hasn't beaten a quality opponent in many years and I doubt the move down in weight is going to change that much.

Either Bradley or Khan would get him my respect. I think he'd need a knockout to beat both though, I've never thought much of his boxing ability against quality boxers.

Same here except that I think the move down will do him good. He is back with Kathy Duva and that might be his best move so far. She says he is more serious right now and I tend to believe it.

We'll know soon enough. At least he is fighting often

Ive always respected Zab but after his win over an underrated Cruz, Now i know that his comeback is for real. Santa Cruz seems to be overlooked by many but the deal is, Cruz is a tough as nail fighter who was robbed against Casamayor and was beating Pitalua until those last rounds.. Just a bad luck fighter... OH yea, and he beat Edner Cherry when he was on a wreck...

Zab taking out Cruz early was a big surprise..

JUdah would murder Ortiz, maidana, and Khan right now... I know he's capable of beating Alexander too given their styles but Bradley would be the toughest matchup for him due to his workrate..
