    Naz, Hatton

    Calzaghe is the least known

The other two kept it on the map

    Chris Eubank
    Henry Cooper
    Ricky Hatton (support)
    Naseem Hamed
    Nigel Benn
You could argue Calzaghe but I think he lost the B-Hop fight, having said that he had a load of defences propped up the division, though he did duck a lot of fighters.
    Lloyd Honeyghan
    Alan Minter
    John Conteh
    Frank Bruno
Barry McGuigan (he took the little guys into the limelight)

Hatton pretty much singlehandedly brought the sport back into the mainstream after a quiet period following the benn, eubank and even Naz years.

Whilst probably the best of the 3, Joe didnt have the personality or the opponents to do it.

He was born in the East End, he counts more than Calzaghe who was born in Wales.

Calzaghe was also born in london, Hammersmith hospital, born on the same ward as Frank Bruno was.

I don't get why you guys are only counting popularity, Calzaghe did a lot in terms of achievements and popularity, wheras Naz and Hatton were popular but haven't done nearly as much in terms of achievements.

I think Ricky did as he was able to capture a wider audience and draw attention to British boxers. Calzaghe did not fight the big names in their prime.

Naz turned out to be a flash in the pan....

There is only one Ricky Hatton
