Yes, good point. Lewis only had about 10/11 weeks or so between his tune-up and the Ruddock fight and was obviously in good enough shape to produce a career best performance up to that point.
The Vitali fights that have been mentioned, against Arreola and Johnson, plus the Lewis fights are different scenarios. For Vitali, the Arreola fight was the big one. It was what people wanted to see and his big fight. For it to be a suitable comparison, Wlad would have to fight Haye first and then Chisora because if Vitali was injured, it wouldn't have mattered. And both guys did actually have enough time to relax and work towards another fight. They both had two and a half months, which isn't a big deal. Those extra two or three weeks are ideal because that's the exact point a fighter should go into complete rest. It may not seem like a lot but those extra couple of weeks are crucial. You can't say "it's just two weeks" because that two week gap is the difference between two separate camps and one 18 week camp, which isn't advisable with such finely tuned athletes.
because he won't sign to fight out of mere speculation. it's pretty evident. honestly, why doesn't haye just sign? if wlad pulls out then wlad looks like an idiot and haye finally doesn't look like a little *****. if wlad fights then he gets what he "wants". there is absolutely no ****in reason haye shouldn't sign just cause of chisora. this is a complete joke.
you guys are missing the point. wlad's planning on doing both. when has wlad said he's going to fight chisora INSTEAD of haye? find me a quote and i'll buy it.
