Here are just some of the fighters I believe ducked a certain other fighter.

Ricky Hatton ducked Junior WItter - most obvious of all time.

Eubank and Benn - both ducked Herol Graham - Graham humilated Eubank in sparring and Benn admitted openly he never wanted anything to do with a fighter as tricky as Herol Graham.

Naseem Hamed - ducked a rematch with Marco Antonio Barrera - Barrera was keen for a rematch and a even bigger career high pay day - offered Naz the chance to redeem himself - but Naz didnt want to go through all that again.

Lennox Lewis ducked Vitali Klitshko rematch - I thought Lennox retired at the right time - but he left unfinshed business and a ? over wether he was still number 1 or Klisthcko had his number.

Johnny Nelson shamelessly ducked Enzo Maccarenelli for a number of years as he defended his WBO title against a number of bums - then when the fight was made Nelson retired with a fake injury before the fight - messing ENzo about and leaving him without the oppurtunity to prove himself against Nelson.

Joe Calzaghe has had the last few years to fight Carl Froch but despite a few big wins in between has chosen to ignore Froch and pad out his record against Peter Manfredo Junior.

Steve Collins was scared and when he was set to fight Joe Calzaghe shamelessly ducked him and retired with a fake excuse and left Calzaghe to fight for the vacant title against brave stand in Chris Eubank (very similar to how his Calzaghes stable mate Enzo was ducked by Nelson)

Mayweather dont want to fight Cotto

    who else has ducked who?

They were signed to fight and less then a month before the fight Diaconu got injured and pulled out. And they are signed to fight so how is Dawson duckin him??? He has already signed TWO contracts on TWO different occasions to fight this bum.

    P.S- Paul Briggs sucks.

Naz may have ducked JMM; all I know is that Marquez was mandatory challenger for a long time.

    I weigh in at 175.

I want a big pay day. And offered Joe Calzaghe to fight him.
I have contacted his people about this. But they just ignore me. Apparently they think this is one of those issues that just go away if they ignore it

Apparently Joe is ducking me! The wimp that he is! Jesus! Some people!

Johnny Nelson did duck Enzo Maccarinelli, but did not retire with a fake injury. I see little reason for the ducking to be honest, I think Nelson would bamboozle Enzo!

Steve Collins ducked Calzaghe, and admitted it - not great, but better than bullshitting.

Herol Graham was ducked by more fighters than just Benn & Eubank, but I would have backed either of them to be able to beat him, as Graham occasionally suffered from stage fright and had a glass jaw. Benn had massive power, as did Eubank pre-Watson II.

Naseem Hamed didn't take the Barrera rematch, but in truth probably knew that Marco had his number at that point. Once Naz left Brendan Ingle his days were numbered - could you imagine a worse trainer for Naz than Manny Steward, or fighter for Steward than Naz????

Lennox got out at the right time, just as he felt he was dropping off a bit, and losing his drive to go out there and keep doing it. Perfect farewell - a lesson to be learned.

Hatton ducked Witter, yes, but for reasons other than a likely L on his record. Witter don't bring **** to the table, never has, never will - OK not the greatest excuse but his reasoning is understood, by me anyway.

I'm not too sure about that. I saw Nelson fight Cantatore (I think it was his last fight) and I'm sure Enzo could have handled that version of Nelson.

It was his last fight, and he was decked in the ninth.

Was on the right end of an SD, but dont recall the scores.

By that stage he was inactive, and the reflexes he had relied on for much of his career had started to desert him.

You cannot duck someone who isn't your mandatory. You can only avoid someone who isn't your mandatory. If a fighter has not even a moral obligation to the fans to fight another fighter, he isn't even avoiding him when he isn't fighting him.

Thus, e.g. Calzaghe doesn't avoid Froch. Hatton avoided Witter. Dawson ducks Diaconu.
