Buffer earns money whilst he sleeps because of his trademark on his catchphrase.

I actually sent an email to Mr Buffer's agent to find out how much money he gets every time he says the catch phrase.

I will have to dig out the email at home as it was about 3 years ago or so - But I was actually surprised at how relativley cheap it was.

The deal was something like first class airfares and accom plus like 8K to say the phrase. I'm sure its a scalable amount. I will have to dig...

I have seen Joe Cortez interviewed in his house inside the boxing ring he has set up in there and the walls with murals of various fighters. I guess if you have a ring in your house it's pretty big...

I've heard Buffer makes anywhere from $15K to $30K for his role in fights. However, it's also been rumored that he makes $1M. This price inflation leads me to believe that it's all a bunch of bull**** and Joe Cortez makes more money in one night....However, keep in mind that Buffer has made several other appearances besides boxing and his voice has been used in video games and whatnot...

This is Michael Buffer's website...This is what the 5th paragraph said:

"Mr. Buffer's international exposure is huge, with Europe being his largest market outside the U.S. Michael Buffer has established himself as an American sports icon and his "Let's Get Ready to Rumble®" trademark phrase, surpassing over $400,000,000 in retail sales of its licensed and branded products, has firmly positioned itself as a part of American Culture"

Divide that up by about 20-30 or so fights and it breaks down to anywhere from 10K to 20K a fight.

    Sounds about right
