I love this fight! The Ireland connection, the fight being in Belfast, the build-up has great potential (two characters), and I expect a really exciting fight (I can see a knockdown or two on the way to a stoppage for Fury). And on a personal note I love watching a fight where I don't mind who wins cos I like both fighters!
always like to hear a disapssionate, neutral point of view of course if maloney could somehow make a £ or 2 out of the fight it'd miraculously be transformed in to one of the most interesting domestic fights of the decade, the fight that the whole of belfast/ireland/the uk /the world/ the universe has been waiting for....
i dont see the logic in it for tyson to be honest when he's supposed to be targeting fighters like povetkin the klits even helenuis
It'll be an entertaining fight definitely. But it did make me chuckle after team Fury were apparently moving onto bigger and better things than David Price
Rogan fans will like it as he has nothing to lose but for a guy talking about being on the verge of a title shot, it's a crap fight.
I like it, it will appeal to Irish fans, be a fun fight while it lasts, and although Rogans not foguht in ages, he still has a couple of good wins in Skelton and Audley (who challenged for a world title AFTER being beaten by Rogan )
Good fun fight, have nothing against it except that Fury vacated two great belts to take it citing 'moving on to bigger, world level fights'... then we get this. So in isolation I love this fight, in context I am gutted by it. Would have been better to fight Price then defend the belts against Rogan if Fury came through that, then he would have taken all his fans with him. Now I'm hoping Rogan catches and stops him and Fury learns a lesson in not taking the fans for granted. So a good fight, but arrived at via a disappointing route, imho. Many people will still rate Price above the winner of Fury-Rogan, which would not have been the case had Fury lived up to his own promises of being a fighting man. Just for once I'd like to be able to have an undisputed number one in a domestic division!
Yes, sorry, I was unclear, I meant by use of the word 'still' that Fury had an opportunity to prove himself number one by beating Price, but as he ducked the fight many will still think Price the better fighter regardless of the Fury-Rogan fight. So Fury has lost an opportunity to become clear number one, and many (myself included) will keep him at number two. My bad for confusing shorthand!
Should be an exciting fight, low skill, all brawl, small ring, let them knock lumps out of each other, we know they come to fight.
Ah, right, I get ya. He may have lost an opportunity but to be honest this is a lot better for his career imo. He would have lost badly to Price and been knocked down a few steps. It's also probably better for Price's career not to beat Fury yet. He beats Fury and people will be talking about an imminent world title shot and I don't think he's ready for that yet. I think it would be ideal for both to fight in around 8 months time.
