Who else agrees Khan has overrated speed?

Well, IMO the best fighter in the division is Khan, who beats Bradley, Alexander and Ortiz. However, I think Maidana might give him trouble because he won't go anywhere and is always a threat to land those heavy hands on his piece of **** chin. I ****ing hate Khan but I have never rated Bradley highly and was disgusted by Alexander's performance against Kotelnik, so at the moment I think Khan might just be the best in the division.

My question was who do you think is the best, who do you think beats who, etc?

 

I think Ortiz will give him problems...especially with that chin of his. I agree that he will beat both Bradley and Alexander. Maidana will always have that puncher's chance but I think Khan beats him.

 

Yeah, I have gone back and forth about Ortiz giving him problems. To an extent I agree with you, great chin, good speed, great fighter. But mental ****ing midget. If Khan sticks and moves and Ortiz is having difficulty finding him or getting the jab out of his I have to assume he will just capitulate like he did against Maidana

 

His speed is not overrated and he is faster than Pac

Overrated? Not really. If he actually had the handspeed of someone like Margarito and people were saying he had the fastest hands in the sport, then yeah...his speed would be overrated. Like someone has said, he was beating Malignaggi to the punch...and Malignaggi isn't exactly slow.

 

He really impressed me with his speed in the Malianagi fight.. He has fast hands..

 

Overrated? I don't think so.

That's his most notable asset. His past opponents, trainers, commentators, sparring partners, gym associates (Shawn Porter, Rashad halloway etc) all recognize(d) and appreciate(d) his fast hands.

He may not yet have exhibited that one punch burst that Mayweather has with that right hand, or Pacquiao’s straight left he used against Oscar. But he does possess the combination speed (and accuracy) which gives him a distinct advantage over the other 140 pounders.

Just try looking at his past fights again. That 1,2 combo that put Salita on the floor was launched pretty quick. And against Paulie (a guy who has a lot of head movement) he played the speed demon at his own game. He didn’t try to impose or overpower him. Instead it took him a few rounds to adjust and get his timings right, before pasting his face with jabs and combos all night.

The guy is pretty quick.

 

He quite clearly is faster than anyone in the sport right now, he hits HARD aswell!

Im not the biggest Khan fan, cos he beat Gomez (Manchester) but Khan is special... Defensively Roach will make him unpenetrable, when this is done..... Khan will be unbeatable!

 

Think this pretty sums up my feelings on this one.

Most people don't like the guy but he does throw at some speed. He needs a big fight and he needs one soon. Well he needs Maidana for some respect but Bradley would get him more money I reckon.

He knows a thing or two about the two fighters in question.
Oh and he knows a little bit about boxing too

 

I'm not a big fan of Khan and I think Maidana has a huge chance of KOing him, but the guy has some pretty fast ****ing hands. You must be smoking something.
