Who else believes the crap that Shannon Briggs is a 4 rd. fighter?

If Vitali beats Briggs, he is consensus number one ATG for heavyweights and pound for pound.

 

probably not fair to call him a 4 round fighter, but he is a "limited output" fighter. who won't do enough to win a decision against a decent boxer with a chin and enough movement or power to keep him honest

 

Then just replace Vitali's name with Shannon. "One of the most feared and devastating punchers of all time. Has wins over George Foreman and Vitali Klitschko. Two-time heavyweight champion of the world. Linear, WBO and WBC championship reigns. Awesome dreadlocks. As a longtime fan of Briggs, and actually getting to talk to him quite a few times on the phone, i will try to answer these as unbiasedly as possible.

I think Briggs can last longer than 3 or 4 rounds simply because he's relaxed and he doesn't throw that many punches. That's not necessarily a good thing.

I don't know if Briggs can win on a world class level past round 4...Is Liakovich world class level...if so, yes.

I don't think Briggs is a force in 2010. He did exactly what he wanted to do, twice now. Fought a bunch of bums and got paid. He cashed a winning lotto ticket against Sergi, I'm not sure he's doing that against Klitschko.

People have said Vitali has been breaking down his last few fights. I am of the other side. He lost maybe one round against Gomez, and that's that since his comeback. To me he's looked as destructive as ever. Out of 100 percent I think Briggs has a 10 percent chance to win, if that.

You will be able to tell really quickly if Briggs is in this for the money or going to try hard. If he weighs near 280, it's the money, if he's in low 250's, or 240's he's really trying. I think Briggs is like 270 and gets knocked out in 6 exciting rounds.

Briggs will get stopped in 6 or less, I to am a fan of Briggs, but right now hes fighting for a check.
