Briggs is a 4 round fighter. Just ask Liakhovich!

Briggs really does have stamina issues. He doesn't throw enough to win unless he catches you with a knockout punch. Anyone with a decent chin can outlast him and win. But against anyone with a less than average chin, Briggs is a risk. It's a shame... if Briggs was actually able to throw lots of punches, I don't think anyone around right now could beat him.

Briggs went 12 rds with Liakovich cuz Sergei was not a pressure-cooker.... Still, even then, Briggs was fully gased at the end of the fight in Arizona....

Can Briggs still go 12 if pressured and tagged by punches?

He isn't even good at the world class level for three or four rounds.

Remember the Liakhovich fight? He looked like regurgitated dog**** **** early, late, and in the middle.

I think he's very likable. Really not a natural heavyweight in his frame, impressed that he's competing well there and in a lacking era, I consider him easily a top ten contender. Good speed, good enough footwork, good "cheen", not a particularly good puncher as a heavyweight but okay. Would be stopped by Wladimir. Has a decent chance to beat Vitali if he fights his best fight, although still favor Vitali. ...Valuev destroys him with his dreaded double punch though. :tong

Briggs at 265 to 272 pounds is way too heavy and buffed....... But Ol' Briggs is NOT ever gonna dip below 255 in 2010....... Hence, if Briggs can make a solid 257 for V.K. this Oct., Briggs will be a "Live" underdog..... STILL! Klit is the king at this juncture...

Briggs is not a 4 round fighter. He fights at best two rounds out of 4.

At fist I said that Vitaly should just retire, but the fight is growing on me. Briggs is big and powerful and a former (sort of) two time titlist. The list of of guys who are big, good, and hard hitting that the Vitaly has fought is pretty short (Lewis, Sanders...), so it kind of fills a void.

If Vitaly wins, and he should, its another name fighter on his record.

Is Briggs limited? Well, of course he is. But he is also very dangerous for a few rounds. Barring yet another freakish injury, I don't think you can beat Vitlay without gettting respect out of him, so it makes more sense than say, a fight with Chagaev or Solis, both of whom are far more skilled and prime, but just too small and not hard hitting enough.

And all Vitaly fans should be honest- his resume is thin enough that EVERY figth against a name fighter inches him up a bit.

He ain't going nowhere. He said in that recent Euro interview that he feels like a young man, and he wants to fight until the brothers have all of the belts. Since Haye won't fight, Nikki is out, and it seems like Vitaly is craving challenges, I bet see him for at least another year.

Also, everyone talking about him slowing down and all that is full of ****. It may be true in some sort of absolute sense, but what does it mean relative to the division when he has yet to cleanly loose a round in since his comeback?

See...... That's disturbing to me...... I hate 39 year olds who don't know when to quit..... V.K. is a king....... Just go out on top for **** sake..... He and his bro do NOT need anymore $$$ for Christ sake..... They are filthy rich.......

I don't think its about money. Vitklit wants that unique accomplishment of having the belts with his borther. Also, Chef said he wants one more "Big" figth, although, Barring Haye, I have no idea who that migth be against.

I wonder if he knows how "big" a fight between him and Gabe Brown would be. That's like six hundred pounds and then some.
